    Wycombe to survive ?

I'd like to see a Derby points deduction...same points deducted as Shef Wed (6 points ?)...I believe both were for accounting errors ? Derby didn't amortise their players values (in order to lessen losses), and iirc, Shef Wed tried to put their ground sale through a year early (to lessen losses)...

    Wycombe to survive ?

Good luck to him i say. Basically, Sheff Wed got relegated due to their docked points and Derby didn't get docked any points, despite a very similar offence.

Wow QPR 3rd - that's a surprise ! Watford and Norwich still top, whichever way you look at it....but both on parachute payments, so HUGE advantage !

3...are you for real ?? COH is arguably our best player (PotS), definitely the hardest worker, and certainly the most valuable player at the club. I like Pask and Eccles, but you've given them 5 based on a handful of games, against COH who has played virtually every game ? Wait a minute, you're...

I'm not sure, but he was actually a little unlucky to get sent off imho.

I went to that 6-1 thrashing at Chelsea...remember us singing 'We can see you sneaking out' when we got our consolation goal.

Didn't he sign a new contract with S.Wed about 3 weeks ago ? Shame, he's a classy midfielder, who we could have added to our midfielder's collection.

GREAT performance today...reminds me of that last game of the season when we stuffed big Mo's Derby with six goals. 16th position is remarkable for the 1st season back in the championship....better than we could have ever hoped for....the club has come so far under Mark Robins. Sadly the signed...

Their finances are in bad shape...loaned up to the max, and Alonso, the prospective new owner, asking the league if they can loan some more for 'squad building'...seems Alonso doesnt have much money !

    Derby Sheffield Wed Match Thread

So in essence, Derby get relegated at the expense of Shef Wed, because they weren't deducted points and Shef Wed were, for very similar financial misdemeanours pre season....gutted

yes it does...currently derby+sheff down. Even a sheff wed win would send them down without a large goal swing (worse gd than rovrum)

Shipley and Allen, decent though they were in Div 1, would not even have been close to the top 5, for player of the season.

    Derby Sheffield Wed Match Thread

Yes, it seems Derby are in a very perilous league and financial position, according to this bbc article about Rooney, Mel Morris (ex owner) and Erik Alonso (new prospective owner). Already at peak of borrowing, and new owner wants to borrow more to fund squad building (yikes...has he not got any...

    21/22 Summer transfer mega-thread

We were a half decent side this year, despite injuries decimating our squad (strikers especially), so it follows that with a relatively injury free season, we should do better, even with the same 4. Do i also remember correctly, that we hit the post/bar, more than any other team in Championship...

Announcement on Ricoh future today - The Coventry Building Society Arena

CBS's adverts used to be 'TLC not PLC'. All the largest BS's left are pro mutual, and as it turns out, they seem to have made the correct decisions to stay mutual during an era of trendy de-mutualisation. Shame, as i was a 'carpetbagger' with £100 in most of the top BS's accounts lol
