    Birmingham City Accounts 2017/18

Interesting that Marcus Evans at Ipswich was a hero there for years - now he seems to want out (or at least not put in more than the 95m he has already lent the club) and is not prepared to write-off all his money and he's a villain. Big financial losses then the manager says he says he needs at...

    Birmingham City Accounts 2017/18

Shows how strange the football industry is. How any regulatory body can say it is okay to lose 39m over a 3 year period is a bit of a nonsense. Got clubs losing vast sums just treading water to stay in the championship. Equally deluded owners just running up debt and hoping to get lucky...

    Birmingham City Accounts 2017/18

You can go through a load of Championship clubs finances and many are a mess. Few if any are self funding. The charge for the PL is scary. Saw a figure that wolves spent 110m just in transfer fees to get promoted.

Problem being is Australia are getting beat with a nice guy in charge so possibly more likely to move back to the dark side:)

Be interesting to see which way they go. Chance of redemption against the much cited Aussie aversion to winning the game at any cost/importance of playing the right way

By all accounts he deserves everything he's getting. Alleged Sledging of Bairstow about his father's tragic death particularly unsavoury example. Poor reputation amongst players and no doubt was the ringleader of the sandpaper business.

Going to be difficult putting Bancroft and Warner in same side after recent media articles. The conveyor belt of batsmen from Shield to Test cricket has dried up. Recent tendency to pick one-day middle order batsmen rather than Test batsmen. Also suffered a lot (like England) in keeping best...

just wondering whether the England selectors are actually taking notice of the type of batsman needed to win a series in Australia - Pujara. Build an innings then accelerate - old-fashioned but effective

watched for the 1st time yesterday, Normally watch the Vikings or a decent match-up if they are not playing but wasn't much of interest in the early kick-offs. Gotta be honest it switches around so quickly that it can be a bit confusing.

Vikings throw away a season with an abject performance in a game that looked lost from the beginning. Said about a month ago we wouldn't get to play-offs because we wouldn't beat the Bears. Supposed best 3rd down defence gave up about 60% of 3rd downs to an average offence - many 5yds+.. Again...

Thought there was some new Rugby investors (the old F1 owners) and they wanted to scrap promotion/relegation

Allen's a rookie so not going to rock the boat. Didn't Redskins extend Gruden's contract last year?

Never been a Flacco fan. But you don't have the cap space unless you release some other high-earners. Don't think Flacco is worth breaking up the good parts for. Can still see you picking up an experienced QB on a 1 year deal then drafting a prospect. Not a particulary strong QB draft this year...

chalk and cheese 1st and 2nd halves. Hail Mary a game changer. Team lacks an explosive personality on offense whereas defence is packed with them. Plenty of ability on offense just needs to be motivated for 4 quarters. Suppose the positive is they are eventually working out during the games...

Whyte v Chisora / Josh Warrington v Carl Frampton

Snuck past a slightly below par Joseph Parker last time out. But he's still improving. Definitely much better than when Joshua beat him in British title fight. He hurt Joshua before getting knocked out.
