I am talking about the EU, not last century pre Treaty of Rome.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

I am talking about the EU. The EU didn’t exist the last time Germany was involved in a war. Britain and France have been bombing and fighting in several other countries.

I said that Germany hasn’t started any wars since the EU ( common market) was formed and won’t be starting any in the future because of it’s constitution. The UK doesn’t have this restriction embedded in it’s constitution, partly because it doesn’t have a written constitution.

? No idea what you are on about, but Germany isn’t allowed to start wars or invade other countries by it’s own constitution. The constitution was written after the last war. The majority of all voters don’t want BoJo as PM. Who said no one wants BJ?

Who chose them? The members or the parliamentary party? The problem here is that the Tory party has been infiltrated by Blukips and similar which distorts the Tory party and moves it to the right, plus the main candidate is totally dishonest and is not ‚clean‘. The majority of the British people...

Labour are moving to a second referendum and campaigning for remain if it looks like a Tory deal or no deal. Bent the rules by letting a sovereign state retain it’s sovereignty? The EU can’t win. Take it’s sovereignty, it’s Merkel‘s 4 Reich, let a country retain it’s sovereignty, bending the...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

I have said we don’t know the details, but we do know that 27 sovereign states will have to decide on a mandate for it. The only countries that are known for invading or attacking other countries in a serious way are France and the UK. Seeing as the UK is leaving, the only country with form on...

It is not binding, so the sovereign parliament can ditch the result if it wants to.

There is no problem because it doesn’t exist and it requires unanimous agreement anyway. You can’t say how it will be because no one knows. It’s uses will be laid out in a mandate. No one is on about replacing NATO, as far as I know, so it will be in a NATO framework. As to whether it would be...

I like Coveney‘s Brexit stance. ( Irish foreign Minister and Deputy PM ). Told him so on Friday, and that I admired him for calling out our Brexit politicians. On his return from Germany, who have assured him they will stand by Ireland, he has told the Brexit politicians that they are entitled...

Which UK law covers the appointment of the PM? None. The Tory party nominate a new leader and they decide how. He has to be capable of forming a government to be accepted by the Queen. That’s all. How he is chosen and by whom is not regulated by law.

As I keep pointing out, power has just been taken back by the heads of state. And what have they done with it? Nominated someone you don’t think is fit for the job. Careful what you wish for.

Doing what is best? You were going on about the Iraq war and Tony Blair a minute ago. That didn’t work out well did it? If we had had to consult other nations in a joint army, maybe we would have been more careful.

That there’s already PESCO signed up to by nearly all EU states. That we don’t know about the details of a future EU army and that it isn’t imminent, but we have to work more closely on defence because of Putin and Trump‘s policies. Read the article, it is what we are saying.

When did they say they would be getting rid of a veto on defence? You can’t get rid of vetos without consent. Selmayr‘s suitability was not questioned by the ombudsman. It was the method of appointment. That was the appointment of a civil servant. The veto rights belong to sovereign...

Boris Johnson is a known liar and opportunist. He has been sacked twice for lying. He has cost London millions. He has said we should and we shouldn’t leave the EU. He has voted for and against May‘s deal. He congratulated May on the backstop and is against the backstop. He has said we can have...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

There was an aim for a European army after the war because it was seen as a massive step to preventing European wars. It is difficult to achieve, but the dream lives on. At the moment it is not imminent. Sharing defence costs by increased cooperation and joint Franco German regiments are already...
