    Warwickshire CCC 2019 Thread

Think many sides will struggle with middle order (and runs in general). Batting cupboard across the board is thin. Quite a few counties promoting young players (many on the back of one-day performances) Plus the usual issue of CC being played in least friendly conditions for batting at both ends...

Difference is "hard left" is no longer what it used to mean. In common parlance traditional Socialist policies are seen as being to the "hard left" because in comparison to the rest of the Labour party this is how they are seen. Can make the same argument about the Tories in that they are far...

It's going to be a struggle without Bell. Clinging to faint hope that (like last season) youngsters improve through season. Much of early part of last season we were hammering the openers but certainly had grown into by end of season

Quite simple that one. Unable to adopt too many hard left policies atm as majority of Labour just to the left of centre. In a new multi party system you don't think a harder left party would emerge ( as has done in just about every other PR system) ? Plenty of internal differences in current...

Making a broad assumption that multiple new parties would spring up. Not likely multiple parties really come to the fore in UK euro elections with the list system. Would the hard right leave the Tories, would the hard left leave Labour? One fairly common theme of that type of PR is that govt...

It makes no sense in a "modern democracy" to have a wholly unelected 2nd chamber. Only one apart from Canada I think. However I would only have a fixed % of the Lords elected in as much as it shouldn't become a rubber stamp for the Govt of the day, I'd retain a % of crossbenchers to provide a...

Actually atm probably not the answer. a minority govt being held to ransom by a small party has not gone well.

An enigma Boris Johnson. Something Trump-like about him. Struggle to see why he's popular and with whom but he seems to be. Nobody really knows what he stands for as he does like a U-turn. Like trump is he eccentric or bordering on some sort of psychological disorder? Does he play the clown...

This is where it finds itself in conflict. Few states want (or indeed could sell to their electorates) much further integration (certainly beyond tinance & trade) or surrendering of powers but this is what Brussels has increasingly been asking for. The push for an EU army, for example, already...

Already have under funded banks for Green initiatives and start-ups etc. Key issue was to make sure it wasn't competing in any areas directly covered by commercial banks due to competition regulations. Primarily lends money to commercial banks to lend to people/projects. As much about getting...

It was obvious they weren't in an overly strong position to negotiate. Everyone had been told Cameron had failed to achieve much when he tried to renegotiate with EU before calling a referendum. BTW he did have some success with limiting further political integration of EU, limiting benefits for...

My neighbour here teaches 2 terms at Bristol and 1 here in Budapest to PhD students. Some sort of maths - i could learn Chinese quicker than understand exactly what he teaches :) Language education an area we've lagged behind for way too long. All the kids here have to pick English or German...

So again we've seen Tactical voting as mps vote to block any but their own preferred option. A lot seem to delusionallly believe their preference will become the default choice if they hold out long enough. Boles thrown a strop as his option not picked and so jumping ship to Independent group.

What i find highly annoying is the number of votes cast. 650 MPs highest total votes cast for a single motion Brexit around 550. Enough absentees, abstainers to make a difference. Even referendum vote didn't break 600 votes.

more to do with overall quality of life (whilst being employed) ? I've enjoyed my time in Europe - Hungary in particular ( wife and 2 girls added bonus :) ). Still very much consider myself a Brit but one who has adapted. Maybe if we do remain those that have been so vocal about it actually make...
