    Butts Park Arena

Ah, sorry if it was a bit complicated for you. As a guide, if you've deep enough pockets to fund two JRs and a couple of appeals, then contesting a planning permission rejection is chickenfeed.

    Butts Park Arena

Planning permission isn't an insurmountable hurdle, it really isn't. If a developer is persistent enough and has deep enough pockets then it's not rare for them to find a way even in the most unlikely of circumstances. There are a lot of other obstacles to the Butts, (not least of which is Jon...

    Ogrizovic retiring end of season

Where's the actual evidence then? I'm sure you're not the kind of lazy, careless, brainless twat that just makes stuff up, but sadly there are a few about. Can you provide sources, please?

    Good old films

Ah, I prefer it in the original Shakespeare. ;) It's a great film, but it's really hard watching Leslie Nielsen in a straight role after all those years of "Airplane!" and "Police Squad".

You know what mate, I was watching the way he was soldering that t-joint and I'm not sure he was really was a plumber after all. And that TV repair man didn't have a clue either.

    Relegation

It's been coming for so long that it doesn't really hurt that much for me personally. I appreciate that not everyone will feel the same mind. I think what helps is that it feels like the playing side has really started to turn around under Robins, I had a great day at Wembley, and daft as it...

    Good old films

Build my Gallows High, a.k.a Out of the Past. Classic film noir, Robert Mitchum and Kirk Douglas, worth a watch if you like that kind of thing. Miller's Crossing, bit newer but equally good. And Ronin, always Ronin, love the car chases but it's also a really tight movie with a great cast...

    Things You Now Like ?

It's all about opinion DL, I like jazz personally.... nice. As far as the oboe it's a great instrument to stick with if the lad wants to make it as a professional - orchestras are always short of good players, or so my music teacher used to tell me. My advice to anyone with kids is to...

    Boycott ticket sales

Fair enough dadgad, but I honestly don't think you're going to get unity on trying to stop fans going to games. You're down to the hardcore already and they're not going to stop attending on (politely) a pretty flimsy premise - in fact they're not going to stop attending at all in most cases...

Clubs to Vote in May wether Checkatrade Trophy Should Be Scrapped

Well now we've won it it's obviously completely bloody worthless. This happened to us in the Anglo-Scottish cup too (Anglo-Scottish Cup - Wikipedia), where we played St Mirren at home and then everyone lost the will to live, thus gifting the trophy to Chesterfield in perpetiuty. I presume...

    Boycott ticket sales

Do what you feel is right - but accept that not everyone agrees. A lot of people just want to support their team regardless and to my mind they should not be traduced for that. You're welcome to continue with your cause and you're free to make your case. However if you're basing it on an...

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

I should say that for all we know osb is a complete SISU-puppet or council stooge plying his own agenda, but the the detail in his posts suggests otherwise and they are obviously well-thought out and difficult to dispute in most cases regardless. God knows I've tried. :)

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

I know what you're saying Nick, but the truth is that it's very hard to deduce people's motivations for posting here in most cases, so generally I'm up for letting them express their opinion and then analysing it and finding the faults. If we just shout them down, where does it get us? I...

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

And thinking about it I want Simon to post here, and Les Reid too, and it would be fun if we could get Cllr Maton and Fisher on board too. I might not agree with any of them but I want to hear their opinions - in fairness though if we keep hammering them with stupid names and personal insults...

Congratulations on winning The EFL Trophy

Always quite liked Crewe as it goes, though I'm always at a loss as to why John Sillett watched them and ended up buying Peter Billing when David Platt was in the same bloody team! :)

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

Hoffman's got connections through his years in banking apparently. I guess like JE he's pretty well of, but I don't think he's in the really big leagues financially so this would be about getting the right people or organisations to invest I think.
