I was invited to play for Canada in the first World Cup in Derby last year. I turned it down a) because I was in England a few weeks before the tournament and b) I thought Canada would be blown away every game. In the end they finished 4th(knocked out by England)

I don’t get the low marks across the board for the defence. Sure we let them in too often (both sides) but the central defenders all made amazing blocks especially in the first half. You can’t give up THAT much possession win 2-1 and have a shit defence.
