Some clubs - e.g. the L1 play off contenders won't know what they're shopping for until they know which division they're in. It may also affect Derby's activity - who would want to go there if they start with a large points deduction, or if they have the threat of relegation hanging over them...

    Priority is a new keeper

One swallow and all that - but the Accrington GK looked very good (young) against Pompey on Sunday Toby Savin (great name) 'He's got Toby Savin' that !!

Re; James Maddison - rumours abound about a square up between Brendan Rogers and JM in the dressing room after Friday's game. I seem to remember a comment after the game where I thought Rogers was having a dig at him (without naming him) Here is a quote off the Leicester forum (one of several...

    21/22 season expectations

Fair enough - still think you'll beat them, but lose in the play off final. Good luck, either way.

Bournemouth and Brentford both have more matchwinners, and are a different level to Swansea imo.

    21/22 season expectations

Hopefully (although it's not fair on their fans) a club or two fall foul of FFP and get docked points to give us a safety cushion ! P.S. Can't believe you didn't want to get Swansea in the play offs - they're the weakest of all the options imo.

    21/22 season expectations

I think we overperformed this season, so if we finish about the same next season, I will be happy - particularly if we have strengthened the overall squad. i would then hope for an improvement the following season. Injuries to key personnel can have such an effect over the season, that it can...

Prepare for no positive media reaction at all...

Next season is now incredibly important for the club. We need to improve the team to ensure we maintain our Championship status. This season, whilst unlucky with injuries, we have been very fortunate with the quality and impact of our loan players. We may not always get so lucky, and it is...

    Derby Sheffield Wed Match Thread

At the moment. If Rotherham hold on, and Derby only draw, Wednesday AND Derby will go down. Feisty second half ahead.

    Derby Sheffield Wed Match Thread

Derby going down. If Rotherham stay in front, Derby will have to score twice (without reply) to escape, Sheff Wed will dig in (assuming they know Rotherham score) in the hope that Cardiff equalise. Great stuff!

He's probably protecting anyone with knocks, then picked a formation from who's fit(test. One thing to be certain from the selection is that caution will have nothing to do with it (injury protection aside). IIRC jordan Shipley had probably his best game of the season against these at their place.

Baka, without a contract - will be looking to sign for L1/L2 club (but hasn't yet) Factors: a) injury avoidance 100% important (otherwise no income). b) Effort likely to put into today - see a) above,

If it allows for an extra higher 'quality' player to be signed, I'd prefer that to holding in to too many who can't make any positive impact. The Championship is an unforgiving league, and the second season may well be just as testing as the first.
