Congratulations. Exactly the same attitude as Remainers took to Brexiteers and then you act surprised when the people you look down on bite back. When their Leave vote wasn't respected they followed it up with a 2nd vote to re-emphasis their wishes. So for your first post well done on it being...

doubtful. Little chance of getting current manifesto through a PR-elected Parliament. Even when they were getting hammered by Thatcher & co they didn't fancy PR. Still a bad taste for many from the Lib Dem/Tory coalition and one thing PR tends to produce is coalition govts.

Answer will remain the same. Is there a mandate for Indyref2 when less than 50% voted for SNP who ran mainly on this issue? Sturgeon admitted that not all SNP voters would necessarily support independence but were EU remainers. Issue would be far more difficult in that would remain-EU sentiment...

For those suggesting yesterday is the beginning of Scottish independence worth noting the SNP share of the vote was still the same % as that voted to leave in the 2014 referendum - 45%.

Reshuffle inevitable as there will need to Cabinet/ministerial representation for these "new" Northern seats. Scottish independence isn't black and white. An assumption that Scotland can remain in EU is up for debate. Also the practicalities of how free trade and movement could happen in...

This is where the disconnect between members and voters has been highlighted. Does Corbyn stay around to try and ensure his successor will follow his path? How damaging will the fight for the future direction of the Labour Party be?

Don't they have to work out where they are going rather than put in another Blair or do they analyse the result and see whether the Labour domestic agenda might be worth following?
