To be honest, I think we’re pretty much where we deserve to be. I think we’ll beat a lot of teams but we’re not strong enough to compete at the top 6-8 this year. I’ll take a decent consolidation season and press on again next year.

Not sure we would’ve got much more for Gyok or Hamer even if they had 2 years left tbh. I think we maximised both of those in terms of time we kept them and money we achieved for them.

I’ve been negative of Sakamoto but he was great today and fair play to him.

I wonder if any of the posters annoyed at Eccles being given a decent contract extension in January have changed their minds? He’s becoming a reliable, combative midfielder and has now actually played the most minutes in the entire squad this season. (Playing in every league game)
