Lacks loyalty? To who? Played 500 games for just 3 clubs in the core of his playing career.

It will be interesting to see how coaching and management in general develops in this country. Coaching and management is hard work and these days should be seen as two separate entities - how motivated to put the hours in are today's pampered multimillionaires going to be? There's not that many...

    City v Peterborough Highlights

16 of our 19 games (including all home matches) have been settled by a goal margin of <=1 with Bradford being our only win by 2 clear goals: To back up your late goal observation, 38% of our goals have been scored after the 75th minute. While fitness and team spirit may be a part, we concede...

Burge 7 - Safe hands and the guy that tried to shoulder barge him 2nd half got left on the deck. So confident these days. Grimmer 7 - Much improved from last week and looked a lot fitter. Willis 7 - Largely untroubled Hyam 7 - would like to see him carry the ball 15 yards and then pass to Doyle...

Injury to Jones came at a bad time for the momentum of the game. We were all over them at that point and it just took the sting out of our play and Peterborough regrouped after that.

You don't get up and try and carry on if it's ACL or PCL though and that's all I meant by not that bad!

JJ not as bad as it looks I don't think, doesn't look in a lot of pain anyway.

We look so much better when we play higher up he pitch. Both fullbacks and Doyle heavily involved in the opposition half and we suddenly have options to pass to instead of relying on dribbling it.

We've really missed Davies at attacking corners in the last few games.

Watching, not there. He's having to do 60 yard runs to support the attack and repeat it to get back. Both defences are sitting deep out of possession and he's having to do the running for 2 in the middle. It's not sustainable for 90 mins which is what is giving the impression of him drifting in...

Only his final ball/shooting. His build up play and off the ball work has been good.

Have been a few positives so far - JCH has done more this match than the entire Burton game, Grimmer looks a lot fitter, Thomas' pace is troubling them. Negatives - Play is very stretched so we look light in the middle, we need to hit the target with some of these half chances.

Harsh on Bayliss. Both defences are happy to sit on the edge of their own 18 yard box - he's having to go box to box and there's no space in behind to play a pass into. Trying to be creative but picked a couple of wrong options. Creative players will always stand out because they try things that...

Great challenge from Grimmer to cut off a 1 on 1 but how the ref missed Bayliss getting thrown to the floor i don't know.

I'd just like us to be brave and attack them. Play a high line, get Doyle involved in the middle not on the toes of his own defenders. Need to watch that gap between the wingers and the fullbacks too - thought Burton were great at utilising the space between Brown and Hiwula, getting their big...

Bit worried about this game. They sit quite deep and use their pace to press or counter so I'm worried about how stretched our midfield will be, especially 2nd half. Looks like Grimmer will be starting again as he did the pre match interview, so I wouldn't be surprised if we were unchanged again.

That was already his 3rd season I think. He just hadn't played much before that.

    Memorable Sky Blue debuts...

One of the less obvious ones is the 2-1 win vs Middlesborough on the opening day of the 92/93 season. Remember John Williams scoring 10 mins into his debut and then a young Phil babb coming on for his debut with 20 mins to go and looking very classy. This naive teenager thought we were going to...

    It’s Jordy Hiwula time...

I think the 442 double 6 needs 2 mobile CMs to be truly effective, especially at home where there is more onus on us taking the game to the opposition. 2 players that can get box to box regularly changes the dynamic of that midfield completely. In the last 3 games I've felt that teams are wising...
