for sure. That's why they've been indecisive and then followed that by not rigorously enforcing the measures they belatedly put in place.

At the moment no chance as the 14 day self-quarantining is the law. ( just had the police a few doors down checking someone). Also only Hungarians and those EU citizens with residency allowed in atm. But we'll learn more next week on the easing but they've always said we're 3-4 weeks behind most...

just ridiculous. Must have been large numbers in March coming back from the likes of Spain, France and Italy. Even with traffic down 99% mother;s friend wasn't checked here. Here everybody managing to get in in the last 6 or so weeks has compulsory 14 day self-quarantine. Big red sticker on the...

Problem is weak leadership/govt. Most other countries have told people what they have to do and backed it up with proper enforcement measures/deterrents. And people have accepted it in general. Aren't UK littering fines bigger than the virus-related fines? Tell someone it's a 300 or 3000 pound...

All these measures require cooperation from a large majority of the population. None work in isolation but as part of package. Properly worn masks reduce the risk (but doesn't eliminate it) as does social distancing but there's nothing that guarantees 100% security once you're out of your home...

Wonder if this virus is a double-edged sword for the environmentalists. All these images of clean sky above previous heavy pollution area, clear oceans etc. Govts going to say things aren't that bad and we can clean things up relatively easily when it becomes essential.

Actually feel this is a govt scared of the people and unpopularity. Unwilling to make strong decisions that are unpopular. Even when they eventually get round to lockdowns etc. the enforcement is pitiful. Almost begging people to co-operate. You're just not going to get full cooperation so...

That's down to the individual. Can blame govts but at some point people got to take some responsibility - make the effort to use masks properly for example. Can we assume that rest of Europe don't rate WHO advice? UK govt has ignored most WHO advice in managing this situation - case finding...

Not sure why uk govt insists on bucking trends. Out of step with initial restrictions, now want to ignore face mask restrictions that most of the rest of Europe thinks are necessary.

    Childhood memories of CCFC

Started mid 70s. Strongest memories are the night games. You could see the floodlights on, you could smell the boiled onions from the hotdog barrows from seemingly miles away and there's always that special hum from the crowd as you got closer that seems more pronounced for night games.

not really much to do with CCC anymore. Lease is paid up. wasps have milked their situation with the bond already so isn't much wriggle room.

What's everyone watching while on 'lockdown'?

Having been out of the UK so long there are so many TV series I've just never heard of. Quarantine "forcing"me to watch TV - something i don't normally do apart from Sport and documentaries. So just found Peter Kay's car share which is keeping me amused
