Conor Chaplin - Signing Confirmed (Finally!)

I think Hiwula is thought of as a "Wallace" too. It's just he hasn't had that opportunity to show it alongside his "Ferguson".

Conor Chaplin - Signing Confirmed (Finally!)

Those comments have come from Pompey fans. They've seen him play. Apparently hasn't had any joy as a 10 either. He's described as a Defoe or Little Pea type, that thrives next to a No9

Where was our number 2 today

Is that genuine? If so, that suggests Sterling declared himself unfit after hearing he wasn't in the squad/team

    Video Blackpool v Coventry

Bayliss's attempt at closing down the 1st cross was pathetic. And the 2 defenders are just as much to blame for the 2nd one as O'Brien.

442 please Burge Grimmer Willis Davies Mason Bayliss Andreu Doyle Allassani Hiwula Biamou/JCH Dont play Doyle & Ogogo together, Dont want Sterling, Brown, Baka or O'Brien near the starting XI after Oxford & Blackpool. Play Hiwula upfront, nowhere else.

I thought he covered a lot of ground v Scunthorpe and competed well across the midfield. I didn't think he had that in his game, but he did well for me.

Yes, gets my vote. Need to see Hiwula paired closely with Biamou. I think there's potential with those two. Thought Andreu's work rate against Scunthorpe was good enough to suggest he can play in a midfield two.

Agree but Kelly has had no minutes, and Allassani as a lone striker in the u23s. I thought Jones looked like he would be involved last night on the training photos. He's another one that will need easing in.

We played reasonably well against Scunny and so I'd revert to something similar to that line up. We were only finishing away from winning that game, whilst playing decent football. Burge Grimmer Willis Davies Mason Doyle Ogogo Baylis Andreu Hiwula...

Complete rookie or not, he's looked more aggressive, more capable on the ball and shown more awareness than Brown over 3 games (which I've watch all 3 BTW) Not sure how you can back up this - "Brown has looked like he played in league one title challenging team last year" - he looked very...

Brown was rubbish last night. Mason is way out infront of him currently.

Lack of investment in playing squad

Mark Robins in June: "We need to keep moving forward together. We don’t want to sit in League One, we want to be pushing for promotion again to the Championship." If we challenge again this season, then folk will have to accept that SISU's new model of the last year or two is working.

Master stroke from Robins, keeping the 10 shirt free. No reason for N'Gog to turn us down now.

    Bayliss off?

Remember in all this kerfuffle, HE hasn't signed his contract. Regardless of what you think of the owners etc, if we refuse to let him go now then potentially we'll get less for him at Xmas or even less at the end of the season. We can't win this one.

Didn't Walsall fans give a lot of flack to Troy Deeney in the early stages of his career?
