Yes of course Arsenal would look at the financial impact of the transfer in its entirety, fee, add-on, wages etc. But if Gyokeres has agreed to give up £2m p/y over the term of his contract, then that would suggest that personal terms have already been agreed, how else could he agree to forfeit...

Well of course Arsenal (any buying club) will be looking at every financial aspect of the proposed transfer & obviously looking to make any possible savings they can, but negotiations with Gyokeres & his agents concerning personal terms & negotiations with Sporting concerning fee & conditions...

I honestly don’t believe that the players personal monetary agreement would have any bearing on fee negotiations between the buying & selling clubs, it’s just more BS being splurged by parties that have no more than a tentative involvement in any potential agreement.
