It doesn’t really matter as it won’t be the same squad it is now incredibly rare that clubs don’t make at least 4-5 changes to the squad each summer.

I can see these becoming a thing of the past for many clubs to be honest ….. You can’t do them whilst you still have something to play for and the minute your season is over players and staff want to get on holiday …..

What nonsense. has it ever crossed your mind that not every player we enquire about we then go onto to try to sign, or those we try to sign we actually get ?? Just because a rumour doesn’t end up with the player signing doesn’t mean therefore that there was no truth in the rumour ….

Journalists like Nixon have worked as leading football journalists in the UK for 40 years. We may not always like the written press but the idea they are not credible is silly in an era of social media bloggers from their bedroom. I know who I would trust to have better contacts in the game ….
