So new TV deal sees teams move from around 255 million a year to around 320 million a year. Cap probably gets back on schedule next year around 210m but watch out for some ridiculous player deals coming up in next year's FA and beyond. That's why so many 1 year FA deals atm

WFT get their man in to help out Terry Mac. Samuel in on a 3 year deal.

Copying Brady and the Buccs :) build a team then plug in a QB. Possibly waiting for Jimmy G. Newton deal not that expensive if he isn't starting.

Bought in run stuffers but they might add a 3 Tec in a QB-led division. Farley or Surtain fall then are a possibility if Gilmore goes.

Added Henry now. So that's his 2 TEs he likes to use. QB seems likely. Just whether they go BPA or QB in 1st round. Also BB could well like the Stanford QB Mills in round 2. He really is a BB QB just lacking game time so could sit behind Cam for a bit.

Can see them targetting Jones as a BB-type QB. May not even have to trade up for him unless they fear somebody else climbing for him. Really have filled their holes with FA so far and still have space to look for a Thuney replacement

Newton, Agholor & Bourne not enough? :) future QB addressed in draft? All those defenders back as well. Belichick does prefer FA to the draft.

    Death List 2021

Bad weekend for sport. Firstly Murray Walker quite literally the voice of a sport for so many years. Now one of the greatest fighters of all time Marvelous Marvin Hagler passed at just 66. Destroyed several top British fighters in an illustrious career. Was a golden generation for...

That's the leveller. With equal opportunities Jets and Lions consistently blow it - that's down to ownership and management. Maybe the only downside is if you're successful in one particular draft. If you nail all 7 picks chances are high you'll have to lose at least 4 of them after 4-5 years...

That's part of the beauty of the sport. It's a built-in cyclical nature. A 2-14 team can win titles within 2-3 years. Teams can reset and go for it. Combination of the draft and cap can make any team relevant with the decent management. Next week we're going to see a lot of last season's weaker...

Fear of being bad rather desire to be excellent seems to be the some team mantras. Do not see how paying Cousins or Prescott gets you any closer to winning a Superbowl for example. Examples of good (but not great QBs. ) who can win games but not titles.

Then Brady reverts to norm and restructures his contract to allow Buccs to keep a winning team together - just like he used to at the Pats.

Be surprised if it's the Bears unless they are going to offer some of their defensive talent (which Carroll will love). Can see the Bears over-valuing Mack in trade terms. Don't have great draft capital. Plus isn't there is the 30 odd million in dead money the Seahawks would have to eat if he...

Teams putting themselves in trouble. There is no middle market for non-elite but good QBs. Prescott deal good example - maybe good enough to get Dallas back to a winning record but is not a Superbowl QB. Go down the list of cap space and it's dominated by teams with QBs on rookie contracts or...

None of the last 10 Superbowl winners RBs has earned more than 3 million a season. You just can't have a single player taking such large % of your cap. Going to be hard for any team to win a Superbowl going forward when they are paying their QB over 20% of their available cap.

Good news for WFT fans - Cowboys paid Prescott. In salary cap hell for next couple of seasons going to be losing a lot of good players to pay a top 15 QB.

Year on here from first COVID cases here and "celebrated" with announcement of another major lockdown for at least next 2 weeks. My wife (high risk) hardly been anywhere except daughter's house (only 500 metres away) for a year. Reputable vaccine options even for her are at least 2 months...
