    January Transfer Window

Bristol City turned down £8m for central midfielder Massengo, the one who couldn't turn over our ten men a few weeks ago.

Got my ticket using the print at home version and it won't print my name or more importantly bloody barcode. GGrrrrrrrrr. I've got a cunning plan - we'll see if it works. First time I'd tried this option! Having successfully (after several attempts) proving who I am re: NHS Cov-id pass, the...

    January Transfer Window

£38k a week is madness too - best part of £2m a year in wages on one player who doesn't play (that's about 5,000 adult season tickets flushed down the toilet on his wages alone!)

Got the last bit right. Shame about the first 2 points.

    The future of the club

I think clubs who are 'safe' but unlikely to challenge for play offs (e.g. a PNE type team) ought to be looking at pushing through their own younger talent to see who looks as though they can step up or not. I don't see the point in getting in loans when you have to fork out money for no reward...

    The future of the club

I get what you are saying, but I don't think the 'just happy to be here' thing has any relevance. I'm happy to be in the Championship. I'd be happy to be in the PL. but if promoted you could then say 'are you happy just to be surviving in the PL' as if there is something that anyone can do about...

Plus a really small wage bill compared to e.g. Forest, Bristol City etc etc.

    The future of the club

I suppose that's why it is so important to establish yourself in the division. If you can upgrade the squad over a period of time, it should leave you less vulnerable. One of the main dangers is that we are in a constant state of being preyed upon for our better players (like the majority of...

    The future of the club

For every Dembele, there are numerous failures. Agree that Posh have done (marketed) well their 'stars' and got good fees. Think that the market will be interesting next summer. Must admit I laughed at the report about the lad with the hair from Bristol City, Massengo. Apparently they turned...

    The future of the club

It's a bit like any of the mid-table PL teams. If you are unable to crack the system and break into the top 4, at some point you will eventually have a 'rogue; season and will get relegated. The parachute payment system is causing a similar issue in The Championship. Unless you have a benefactor...

Match Thread Derby (H) FA CUP

Agree - but as regards the Derby game, we don't have a midweek fixture, we haven't played much recently, so this ought to be at least a useful preparation for the next ;proper' game against Peterborough. If we field a weak team, then don't beat Posh, manager and fans will be moaning that we...

People saying this game doesn't matter - if we finish 7th in the league, we get not a penny more than if we finish 17th (other than it may affect attendance revenue) If we do win we get £82,000 and £90,000 for the 4th round and £180.000 for 5th round etc (plus attendances). May well be the...

    Championship 21/22

Interesting that Ryan Giles has been recalled by Wolves (from Cardiff) Glad about that (as we won't have to face him in the rearranged fixture), as he seems Cardiff's main provider for Keiffer Moore. They'll miss him, and have struggled even with his help. Edit@ popped on the Cardiff forum...

I'm going - predict a crowd of 6.002 (or 6,001 if I hadn't gone). Hoping Derby go batshit in the 2nd half against Reading and get 2 injured and 2 sent off. Jodi Jones to set up the winner.

    Championship 21/22

Need Hamer, Gyo to get back. Peterborough is a really big game for us. Like others have said, I would quite like to see JJ get a run out against Derby - rest anybody who is carrying a niggle and get them good to go for the next run of league games. Reminds me - need to buy a Derby ticket later...

    Championship 21/22

You said that 'even' Bristol City were about to beat Millwall, which insinuates they're crap - I'm just saying that they've played quite well recently. What point did I miss from that? Edit: I've just seen your reply to Clint (so that'll do for an answer!)
