    Championship 21/22

Does seem weird - a 27yo footballer based at Chelsea for years, that the vast majority of fans have never heard of!

    Championship 21/22

Think it was pretty much aimed at Newcastle (Southampton's manager was suggesting they shouldn't be able to field their new signings in the re-arranged game)

That will never work - they may have new injuries, sold some of their existing squad. Would the same rule apply to us re: players available on the original date - i.e. if we had someone with Cov-id then, but they are fit on the re-arranged date, they can't play? I do get why you are a bit pissed...

    Grendel

Had to read that twice to get it ! (there are actually 4 sets of goal posts in the park to choose from, as well !)
  5. Sky Blue Harry H

    Championship 21/22

They will have a few players on big money. Wonder how long Paunovic's contract is - probably cost them a few £££s to pay him off. Edit: not so much - it's June this year. Think he'll be gone early.

    4th Round draw

Think we had Stephens on loan from you a while ago. That Broja looks a decent player. How the hell you manage to spell half of your players I'll never know. You seem to have a bit of pace in your side, which may be our biggest problem. We will at least win the singing battle, regardless!

Reading 0-6 v Fulham with 15 mins to play. After the Kidderminster result the manager must be facing the chop. Scott Dann went off injured after 7 minutes. Looking a bit iffy for them (although they have some decent players - Swift, Joao, Ejaria etc)

    4th Round draw

Saints currently 4-1 up v Brentford, and are without a game for a fortnight before they face us. They are a very good side - luckily I'm a 'concentrating on the league' type (unless we win!)
  9. Sky Blue Harry H

    Hamer

Think I read Swansea were interested in him. On a different note, how is it that Derby seem to be in for players. I would have thought creditors would be screaming from the hilltops about that. There must be some sort of rule preventing signings until their debts are sorted?

Teams you have an irrational liking for

Was on a boat trip down the Rhine once in the 80s, and a group of Swedes were drinking rounds of bottles of wine, on the top deck, shirtless and just necking them. When we got to our destination, one of them had to be carried off the boat by the others. I liked a drinking session, but this was...

Teams you have an irrational liking for

Don't know how you managed it. When City played Ipswich at Highfield Road once, I'd consumed similar and started watching in the West End, staggered round to the Spion Kop (where the Ipswich fans were - not for trouble, but just drunk) Found myself back in the West end eventually, but couldn't...

    Grendel

Walking my puppy over the park the other day, we strayed upon another dog, whose owner introduced it as @Otis . I was immediately suspicious of the animal!

Unashamed fanboy (no posters - Debbie Harry and the Fonz, back in the day, though!)

I posted on this elsewhere, but if Kane can play on the left, could Hamer do a rwb role, and push Eccles or Kelly in with Sheaf. Or Eccles/Burrough as rwb? Alternative could be to put Shippers as lwb (left footed and i've often wondered if he could do that role - might force him to tackle and...

Teams you have an irrational liking for

This (my brother and his family live there) Hellas Verona, Lionel Messi (pre-Paris St Germain) and Barcelona (Messi, and I love the city). Also loved watching Thierry Henry at Arsenal and Kevin de Bruyne. None of the above touch following City (although Messi on a good day is like watching...

Teams you have an irrational hate for

I don't particularly hate other teams, although watching last night, I decided Luke Shaw is a nasty git, so wanted Man U to get their come uppance - but not against Villa. I get irritated if I see anybody in Villa colours (even been known to whistle the SOTV song when I see it) Really sad thing...

Hopefully somebody takes out Dembele early on, as I'm sure they'll try and target Fankaty after they've watched Saturday's showing. Wonder if Fankaty's struggling (fitness wise) if Kane might revert to lwb and try Gus, Eccles or even Burroughs at rwb ?

    4th Round draw

That just illustrates how the 'big 6' et al have skewed the income at the expense of the rest of the football league. I also think this has been exacerbated by allowing so many PL registered players to be loaned out to the rest of the football league; players that otherwise wouldn't be so quick...

    4th Round draw

Actually Jimmy Hill showed it is ; however - in my opinion - the extended period in the top flight, where season after season we just plodded along. coupled with the negativity surrounding football violence made it a gradual turn off for a lot of fans (especially parents taking kids) That said...
