Oh Lord - RIP John Sillett

Welled up on this sad news. Had the pleasure of meeting John many times. Lovely man , great character. And the memories of that period of City history are happy ones - not just the Cup win.

    Match Thread Bournemouth away

So a Bournemouth fan complaining about abusing the rules. Irony wasted on a fan of a team that got promoted by breaking the FFP rules .

It's the defensive pass interference ones that are really inconsistent. And it's such a game changer. One of the reasons for the Buccs success last season was the huge number of DPIs they got as a combined result of scheme & the Brady factor - 27 vs league average of 9.

Good game but a good example about the differences between certain match official groups - nearly 30 flags!!

Masi doesn't seem to know what he is doing. Now saying decisions/interpretations can vary race to race depending on who the race stewards are. Seems the only driver who know thinks the Brail incident was okay was Verstappen. Lot of drivers saying there is no clarity after the drivers' meeting.

Another ridiculous issue (with all the money involved) is that different games have different numbers of cameras at them. So exact same play can checked/reviewed differently in 2 different games

Surprisingly enough if you actually target one of the best WRs in NFL you can win games. Vikings finally get aggressive with play calling and dominate the Chargers. Unfortunately it's the Packers defense next which has been outstanding last few weeks.

Certain groups of officials this year are flag happy. Seeing some terrible calls every week. Bears - Steelers was atrocious in particular. Huge inconsistencies between how some of these groups want to referee the games.

Vikings throw away another one. Terrible play calling at the end. Coaching sabotaging a good roster even with its injury problems. OC only employed because of who his father is. Once scripted plays finished just collapses. Some comical ref calls - seems to be an NFL norm.

Payton is just a damned good coach. With all the roster shenigans due to salary cap issues he still puts out a dangerous team. That said going to be difficult without Winston.

Vikings outcoached again. Dan Quinn Vs an inexperienced (and unqualified) OC was mess. Vikings should have won comfortably but Zimmer insists on defending leads rather than adding to them. 1980/90s philosophy no place in modern game. Roster easily good enough - coaching staff not

Patterns emerging. Trend for throwing in rookie QBs means you're going to take pain year one but hope the experience pays off going forward. Reacting to one bad result isn't always smart. Chiefs revamped an O line that was good enough to take them to a Superbowl but didn't actually play in that...
