    Jamie Allen signs new Contract

Yes - but MR didn't have the option to do that last night, as there was no obvious replacement for the second DM role.

    Jamie Allen signs new Contract

Kelly/Ecc;les injured - either would have started before him as defensive midfielder

They have an excellent chance based on potential energy levels. If we don't score the first goal, I think it looks nailed on. Need a scruffy goal, or MR to shake things up a bit - although he is likely to have limited options,

    Robins Interview

Partly agree Steve; however, the crowd tend to be a lot more lenient with a newbie, and it is not only about giving them a chance, but protecting those who are in need of a break/carrying a niggle that gets worse. We don't have a big squad, so if we do have players out, we need to use these...

Thanks Dom's dad...........don't have any real issues with him, other than I wish his forward passing was a bit more accurate. I could aim that at one or two others too though - think Kane's passing/crossing has got a bit shoddy lately too!

    Robins Interview

We were better than them first half. Despite us looking pretty toothless, they could barely lay a glove on us. We could have had a pen, and missed a very easy chance. 2-0 harsh, but we were flat second half. Barnsley won't be a pushover on Saturday either.

    The Shipley Bid

This. That missed header from O'Hare's cross cost us a point in my opinion (although the keeper did well) Thought it was 100% going in. Do think I'd sooner see Tavares than Waghorn, if Waghorn is not fit yet.

Said it before, but I'd sooner see a fit inexperienced youngster than an experienced player who clearly isn't fit

Great hit - haven't deserved it, but if we don't score that can always happen. Tavares on just for fun !!

Shipley has played a couple of very good balls behind their defence that could have created something. Would like Allen, O'Hare whoever to try and run at them on the edge of the box. Shame Hugill has come on. Hope Ikpeazu stays on the bench.

He's looked cream crackered to me in at least 2 of the last 3 games. Think he needed a rest.

You and your facts. Couple of points. People forget that Maatsen has only just returned from injury - after last Saturday's game, it may be sensible to rest him until the Barnsley game. All eyes (including mine) will be on Shippers performance (as he will know). Think we have struck lucky in...
