    USSR invades Ukraine.

Not sure this is right. There are extreme right wing groups in several East European countries - here in Hungary in particular. But Ukrainian Leadership and Parliament basically central liberal. These far right groups got about 5% in an open election. Extreme far right groups would be looking...

Just can't see it. ATM Putin (rightly or wrongly) thinks he's negotiating from a position of strength.

    USSR invades Ukraine.

Nice idea but Putin staked too much domestically on the Crimea & disputed territories. He'd want Ukraine demilitarised and also not to join EU. Amnesty on war crimes. And probably need to add a commitment to stop designs on the reformation of COMECON. Of course if Putin no longer in charge...

    Josh Taylor v Jack Catterall

Just watched this. That's farcical. An absolute robbery. Tbh even the judge that gave it to Catterall didn't score it wide enough. Of course Taylor doesn't want a rematch. To go into Glasgow and fight like that only to get robbed is obscene.

    USSR invades Ukraine.

Hard to see where the compromise lies. Putin won't leave current Govt in power. Promise of new elections won't solve much as pro-moscow candidates will get slaughtered. NATO and EU can't agree to not let Ukraine join if a freely elected Govt wants to join. Can Ukraine agree to demilitarize...
