16-50 year olds here put on notice they'll be called up if Russia decides to "wander" across the border.

    USSR invades Ukraine.

Looking back and analysing decision-making is always different from the decision-making at the time. Issues at the time were Japanese were still fighting hard and an invasion of mainland Japan would have been extremely difficult in terms of loss of life. Relationship with Russia had already...

Escalation can take many forms particularly in the type of weapons used and general rules of engagement.

Fear for a real escalation now they've refused to surrender the city. Cynic in me wonders whether Ukranian leadership is "hoping" an escalation in civilian atrocities in Mariupol may push West/Allies into some sort of action.

Hope Mercedes & McLaren sort out their issues and we have at least 6 cars competing. Mecedes were miles behind before safety car. Good race though seemed like a lot of overtakes throughout to the field. Hopefully other races can continue this trend.

Going to be good AFC teams not even making the wildcard. The balance switch is hard to explain other than AFC having drafted more starting QBs recently (and the cap advantage is gives). Interesting to see how Chiefs go this year now Mahomes has a genuine cap hit. Bills & Chargers using that QB...

230 million fully guaranteed probably swung it!! Trade value not extortionate for a franchise QB when they've got so many high round picks still on rookie deals. For a cap system sport teams are increasingly looking really short-term win-now. Going to see a lot of different teams win...

    USSR invades Ukraine.

Sadly think the lesson here is that nothing changes. Always going to be aggressors, people who want more power, wealth, influence etc. Globally you can add religious differences to the list. No-one could believe the atrocities in Bosnia could happen in a "modern" era Europe. Now we have a...

Few good owners. Mainly either in it for the money or the "prestige". Ours are dangerous because they think like fans not owners but also have a fear of failure. A lot of Vikings fans (and pundits) wanted Cousins gone, give the new GM & HC a chance to rebuild and didn't mind a losing season to...

Teams like Chargers & Bills making really strong moves to improve already potential SB teams. Adams moving no surprise but Packers have put themselves in real cap hell in the near future. AFC west could be the strongest division in the history of modern football. And of course Vikings owners...

For those countries ( like Russia) bits of paper are only used when it's to their own advantage. Other leaders "admiring" Putin tend to split into 2 camps. 1. USA. America isn't popular for a variety of reasons - too successful, characterised "toxic" cultural influence, preaching tendencies and...

He's a zealot. This isn't something new or even as recent as 2014. He's been writing and speaking about restoring the Soviet Union and Russia's influence long before then. If Russia were a healthy democracy etc then it wouldn't be totally opposed in this whole region by a sizeable minority. ...

It's a relationship of mutual convenience rather than some great friendship. As long as China's eyes on being the dominant influence in Asia they'll co-exist. Could easily come a stage when China gets so powerful Russia will get paranoid about them and the huge border they share.

Favre just wanted to stick it to the Packers for bringing in Rodgers. Fake retired so he could sign for the Vikings as Packers wouldn't let him sign for them season before. Had one great season for us then threw a dumbass interception in the Championship game against the Saints which cost them...
