Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Some interesting choice of language to say the least. Not sure about making it harder for people to come and work here in the care sector. There's well over 100K roles that are unfilled and you can't just say fill them with British workers because they aren't interested.

Could be an interesting day today but looking at the forecast might struggle to get a full day in.

    Weight and working out

Its so easy to get in to bad habits. I leave for work before 8, walk a few yards to my desk and then the vast majority of days don't get a break until I leave. Then its sitting in the car for 45 minutes to drive home. On a good day I'll get home at 7pm. I've then got 3 ish hours to exercise...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

This all sounds very familiar. I get the idea of what Marty says but for me at least it's easier said than done. I've found it's not a problem at a particular company but in the wider working world. Having moved jobs twice nothing has improved. Had people say to quit work or move to something...

Remember that guy who phoned CWR after one game to moan about us losing a game we hadn't lost :ROFLMAO:

    Clive Eakin on CWR

Unless Rob is going surely it will be him and Oggy and then someone else in the presenter role, probably Lorna or Vic as I doubt there's the budget to employ someone.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

How long do you have to be in the county, or out of the county, to be counted on these stats? Does someone coming on a student visa that can't stay past the end of their degree count, someone on a six month contract? Just wondering as at my Dads care home there's a never ending stream of people...

I'm not really getting the 'we just need to do the same and it will all be fine'. Not like Friday was the first time a team has tried those tactics against us. Far worse teams than Sunderland have done it with success.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

This. On a good week I do an equivalent of an extra days work a week without a single penny more in pay. On a bad week it's far more than that. In terms of a new parent going back to work it's far more than just you're £200 a week better off working. You're no longer spending time, and raising...

Match Thread Coventry v Sunderland Championship Playoff 1st Leg Friday 9th May

We've got a lot of players who I would not be confident are going to score if they stepped up to take a pen. Hopefully they're more confident than I am!

Century for Barnard now and 500 up. Got to think a declaration isn't far off. Clive on comms today so hopefully a sign he's not giving that up as well.

It's only one goal but I think there's concern that going into the 2nd leg with a lead they can do exactly the same game plan as they did last night.

Exactly this, they were more than happy to sit back with everyone behind the ball while we tapped it around. Not like their keeper was making world class save after world class save. They had a plan, exactly the plan most people would have expected from a visiting team in the 1st leg, and...

    Errors Leading To Goals

Seen a few people having a go at Wilson for this, pretty sure most of them would also be criticising him if he’d stayed on his line and just let the forward pick his spot

    Weight and working out

One of the biggest criticisms of the jabs has been the cost to the taxpayer if they were given to everyone who met the NICE guidelines, which is very much not people who want to use a few pounds but people who have multiple obesity related conditions. New research seems to question that and...

Match Thread Sunderland - Coventry City Match Thread - Tuesday 13th May

Think a lot will rest on how Sunderland setup. If they decide they're happy to put 10 men behind the ball and defend a one goal lead then I fear we will approach the game the same way given Lampard's post match comments. If we do saw nothing yesterday, or in the other games where teams have been...

Match Thread Coventry v Sunderland Championship Playoff 1st Leg Friday 9th May

This is what annoyed me tbh. It was like Sunderland had pulled off some tactical masterstroke but pretty much everyone could have worked out what they were going to do in advance, and even if they couldn't 10-15 minutes in it was obvious. Why did we have no plan for this or do the fake injury...
