I didn't say that but it's not unsurprising as Robins has used him as a sub higher up the pitch already. My point was only that I don;t think the formation is going to be that different, unlike Ipswich. Of course the players picked within that formation will change the dynamic of the team.

I don't think it's anywhere near as bad a set up as Ipswich. If Saka and Dasilva get high up the pitch then it's more or less the same 4-3-3 we've been playing recently. We'll be more defensive to start and then open up more as the game goes on, with the options of chucking O'Hare and Wright on...

It could literally be any formation with that set of players.

Me too! Think at least Eccles and Palmer will be in for Allen and O'Hare though.

I fear today is going to be Ipswich-esque with changes and tweaks to the formation. Wouldn't even surprise me if Robins went back to 3 at the back for this one, with a packed midfield. Enjoy your away trip lads, would love an early pint or 2 in Leeds on a Saturday. Instead I'm 1000 miles away...

    Stonewall pen

I couldn't believe O'Hare made so little of it at the time. But there was very little contact in reality, evidenced by O’Hare easily staying on his feet.

Jake Bidwell - deserves a song

At halftime on Friday my mate was saying he thinks Bidwell might have been the missing link. I was arguing that the formation change has benefitted a lot of players, but turns out he was talking about human evolution and not our performances.

    No subs vs Bham

Got praise at the time because we were controlling the game. Don’t think the squad is anywhere near as strong as is made out though. 5 of the 9 subs were keeper and defenders and you don’t mess with the defence when you’re winning. That left Kelly, Eccles, Palmer and Ayari. No one’s upset Ayari...

    "The strikers aren't good enough"

I think the current trend in formations, which are essentially watered down versions of whatever Pep is doing, are leading to very open games. No stats to back it up but I’d bet goals scored are up and clean sheets are down in this league, compared to the previous couple of seasons.

O'Hare is a Burden on the Team

I thought the upper body work he’s done was just to compensate for not being out on the pitch while he was injured. But I’ve come to the conclusion it was needed just so he can hold his absolutely disproportionately massive head up straight. I think his improved finishing is a sign of that. Been...

    SIGNED!!!! - Tatsuhiro Sakamoto

His fitness level vs the start of the season is incredible. Looked like he could have played 2 games last night.

Which was also my Friday lunch time wank. So I’d like to take some credit for the win.

With the amount of grass that Sakamtoto, Allen and O’Hare cover, we’re not going to lose many games. That was an insane amount of running.

This is the kind of tat that Doug will be all over for the club shop. Wait until he sees my idea for a collection of Coventry left backs on knives and forks in my DaSilvaware range.

    Ipswich Ratings

I think that was exactly the case for Sheaf yesterday. Thought he actually did very well in terms of interceptions and turnover of the play (first goal aside) but every time he got the ball, there was little movement or natural width in front of him. Ayari, Allen and O'Hare are essentially 2...

+ 1 point for Ayari's ratings for not wearing gloves. Thought he'd be nailed on to be wearing them.
