Thought the same - the only positive for me (not as a fan, but as a human being) is the happiness for the Ukrainians.

Back to the footie - have we put any cohesive moves together since the subs?

It was the boring tw*ts behind him - particularly Chilwell who kept passing backwards - stopping any momentum. If taking Maddison and Bellingham off is Southgate's solution - it's a no from me.

Fankaty came on at 1-0 up for Forest Green in the second half v Crewe (they lost 1-4)!

I thought it was a tad harder to control than ' Dion' made out. Maddison was just slightly ahead of the ball when it came.

Has anybody seen Harry Kane in a centre forward position? ...and do we need Rice and Henderson on when Ukraine are sitting so deep.

Agree - Saka injured (but leaves him on?!) Too many want to be the one 'not' giving the ball away, instead of trying to do anything with it.

Good to see him getting a 'proper' game.

Jamaica 1-0 v Honduras Latibeaudiere booked, Palmer subbed (along with another Jamaican player) in 65th minute (so - hopefully - not an injury issue).

This - let's face it, who is going to be at their best taking in info and working their nuts off in this weather? Let them enjoy a week off, then use next week for the planning, sharpening up. As I said earlier, it's not as if this won't have been thought through. Easy excuse for fans to have a...

It's a long old season. They'll be back in plenty of time for preparation and planning. Also less chance of them picking up injuries in the meantime. I'm sure 'The management' have weighed up the pros and cons of any time off.

If Kitching still has a groin issue, I'd like to see Binks given a run out at LCB instead of Lati. Leave it to MR to sort out the midfield conundrum regarding Palmer's likely absence. Save him/Lati for the Tuesday match at Cardiff.

I haven't forgiven you for that unnecessary 'shouted insult' from last week-end. I'm going to QPR and Bristol City, but family stuff keeping me as a part-timer with regards to midweek away fixtures. You off to Hull, too? (impressive selling that out on a Friday)

I saw this, and was thinking - great, a feisty derby beforehand (hopefully injuries and a red card, then they'll have little recovery time and be on a downer - unless they win - but will still be shattered, nonetheless)

My thoughts too - hoping it's a freakish blip. Really don't think he's a tactical genius.

Agree. It's a bit like fantasy football, but I'd the opportunity came up its a no brainer.
