Totally agree. The back needs to push up and go man to man if we have to. Can't let them 'kill the game' so easily. Far too easy. Be very surprised if he doesn't change things, be it players/shape.

Playing OK, but letting Albion waste a lot of time by not pushing up against them. Just knocking around the back and killing time.

Last season we'd have had Sheaf and Hamer centre midfield - a key area, where we will obviously be weaker this evening. Don't think we can question the team's mentality based on our form over the last few months, I think it's more the case of physicality. Hoping Simms can have a good performance...

There is a lot of middle ground between best performance of the season and underperform. And of course I'd prefer the former.

We've played about 40 games in all this season, but you're demanding that this must be the best of the season today? Lovely should it happen, though.

Advice needed - I'm going to see Sarah Millican tonight with my better half. If she keeps banging on about being from Sunderland, do I boo or not? I'm already steeling myself for an hour of menopause anecdotes.

Of the PL teams left, Wolves are the most beatable (albeit they are quite capable of tonking us)

Wolves look better now Neto and Sarabia have come on. Still sooner play them than Brighton.

    QF Draw

Get drawn away to Liverpool, Chelsea or Man City, then beat West Brom, then we can all start talking about concentrating on the league ! If Forest beat Man U, and we get drawn at home to them or Leicester, then we can start talking about 'The Double'

    Reality check

Slightly - mainly because Vik and Gyo were exceptional...that said, the loanees (who weren't ours) helped. Our own players are not that far off, and this season's league is stronger. My main point was - we'll be stronger next year.
