No, any sort of win would have been fine, but the key part is that we should have won. We were playing against a hastily thrown together youth team. We won't play an easier game all season.

I understand that it's early days, and we can't take too much stock from these early results, but then again, we were playing a youth team. I’m not going to reward them for keeping a clean sheet against a team of kids who didn’t even have a recognised striker. In fact, we were very fortunate they didn’t score. Passing from both was woeful, and they slowed the tempo down every time they had it. Played directly into Bolton’s hands.

What positives are there to be found from being unable to break down a youth team? Do people genuine think we played well today? We lacked any sort of creativity, no one in the side has any composure in front of goal and we didn’t even defend that well.
