    my favourite "new boy".

Hope nobody looked at Sawyer before he came here on loan, otherwise would have to take back anything good ever said about Thorn as a scout.

Yep, sadly true. Would be proud of it too.

Changed my mind give it to Richard

Considering the amount of black players that have been in the game in the last 30 years or so, there really should be a higher proportion of League Managers than there are or have been. Can't think of too many, only Ince in the top flight, then there was Chris Kamara at Bradford, think he got...

The only thing we can be 100% sure of is that with Thorn last season we did get relegated.

    What makes a song 'cringeworthy'

I always thought we should have done this one for Scott Dann when he was here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7Na6z03tW4

He certainly did. Swindon is a shit-hole.

Don't think that any loan players are scouted, more a case of, "Do you have anybody available for loan? Cheap? Could do with a striker and a midfielder" "See what we can do" Then they offer somebody.

Bugger, you edited Ling for King before I got the chance to quote it. My post doesn't make any sense now! Not for the first time.

Totally specious argument that Dyche was unavailable last year. Other managers were available last year that aren't this, one even went to a League One club, and hasn't lost a game since, and got Sheffield Wednesday promoted.

Christ, Are we going to have to have another sub-forum now? "Players that were linked to us, but signed for somebody else instead"?

    Did wonder that myself.

    That Guy

Put 30 fat blokes running into each other on the same pitch though and it isn't. Mind you, football, despite it's recent gentrification, is still mainly a working-class sport. Can't have those chaps having alcohol whilst watching the football, anything could happen old boy!

    Thorn v Shaw - A comparison

Agree on Hussey's long balls, still not convinced by him, i know a lot really like him, but don't think he's that good really. The work-rate and aptitude of the players may have contributed to the more purposeful look to the team admittedly, may not be a change of tactics from Shaw, but would...

Really? Was it 1-1 against Bury then?

    Thorn v Shaw - A comparison

Did you not feel we moved the ball a lot quicker and purposefully forward than we had been doing? Mixed up short and long(not hoof) passing a lot more too. Seemed a lot more pro-active than re-active from what I saw.

    my favourite "new boy".

Barton, real chilled out player, makes everything look effortless. Though possibly because he's still getting up to fitness and too knackered. Might run around like a blue-arsed fly when he's fit for all I know.
