"Smaller" clubs now bigger than Coventry City.

I suppose there are now absolutely loads - anyone who owns their own stadium for a start, and many others who don't. But given our poultry though understandable level of support, there are clubs around that I always concluded to be of a fair size support -wise but which still were not quite on a...

If this is true, SP has not only lost the dressing room, they're mocking him to.

If this is true, then i have this almost masochistic hope that we get absolutely slaughtered in the next couple of games and that this slow , painful death comes to an end. SISU carry the can for our desperate position but even they cannot be held responsible for what appears total disarray in...

What's the best Coventry City season you can remember ?

I think the angiush we all suffer as Cov fans is that the period you remember was one of sustained progress and since then there hasn't been any. Gordon Milne steadied the ship for a while, had a couple of great seasons but then , inevitably , the wheels began to come off. The team of 87...

What's the best Coventry City season you can remember ?

Apparently the hatred goes on undeminished. When we were eventually relegated from the Premiership the pubs and clubs in Sunderland were packed with their supporters celebrating.

What's the best Coventry City season you can remember ?

I've absolutely no doubt you are correct on that one ! I was only 7 then. From what i've read and heard about kids being passed down to the front from those present I can't imagine how good that must have been.

What's the best Coventry City season you can remember ?

I was too young for the season we won promotion to the (then) first division in which we beat Wolves in front of over 51,000, so this is my best season 1977 -78 Survived miraculously the previous season and a huge crowd turned up at the last game (Bristol City) because we all knew that if...

    Lowest crowd since 1962

Can anyone clarify for certain whether non attending season ticket holders ARE counted or not. I may be wrong but I thought they weren't. The actual crowd is the one recorded. Having said that I did think that last night there was absolutely no way there were 7,000 there, more like 5,500.

    Cwr

No they don't. Clive E. is particularly guilty of that. Simply offers the opposite opinion to any caller who does so. Of course he can turn his mike up and them down so he wins.

How many are calling for Pressley's head tonight?

Over a sustained period now the players have underperformed and as a collective team they are worth less than the sum of the individual parts which, in my opinion usually means the manager is to blame. The fact that he said after the game on CWR that we had the players to beat Swindon tells me...

    Pressley Interview

SP "We had the players to beat Swindon......." ...To quote him on CWR after the match. I'm sorry but no. When the individual parts are worth more than the sum of those parts as a whole then it is time for the manager to consider his position.

    Swindon Match Thread

1 - 4 Swindon Reda injured after 2 minutes. Anyone in the first 15 rows will get soaked . My car will have a flat tyre when I get back and I will lose my wallet.

90% of the crowd will protest

I do wonder if some people are actually more grateful to SISU bringing us home than angry they took us away in the first place, as if they did us a favour and we should in no way voice our resentment : they took it away and then gave it back and we should therefore be forever in their debt...

    The Crazy gang BT 1

For me Fashanu was completely false during the programme. Spoke in a patronising and condescending manner to the camera as if the audience were completely thick. Nasty piece of work as far as I'm concerned. The footage from the 1980's show him speaking completely differently . Fashanu thinks...

    Charlton "Rainbows" Attacked

...they seem to have drawn attention to themselves for reasons I don't understand. Doesn't excuse what appears to have ensued mind you.

No. He tries to sound clever but he can't.

Reda is back : how long before he's injured again ?

I would think Reda is likely to be out in the back garden this afternoon pruning some shrubs, raking back and even making up some winter hanging baskets. Now there is an awful lot of things that could go wrong in the course of that ............

Is your town a coventry city stronghold ?

I work in Southam and those interested in footy seem to follow a mixture though there are quite a few city fans.Used to work in Daventry and that appeared to be absolutely full of Aston Villa fans - possibly because of the huge number of Brummies working at Ford.

Is your town a coventry city stronghold ?

I was wondering whether anyone living outside of Cov can tell us how much their town is a Cov town , whether you're in Hinckley, Leicester (optimistic) Daventry, Stratford , etc I'm in Rugby, population about 75,000 second largest town in Warwickshire . A fair few Leicester fans as we are a...

    Crowd on Monday

It's been done in the past but, as a season ticket holder, it's of absolutely no benefit to me and, more importantly, I get laughed at if I suggest "you can come and watch for a tenner".
