Transfer Rumour Ryan Giles on Loan - Confirmed

He started off playing LWB for Shrews but did feature more on the left of the front 3 in a 3-4-3 formation as the season progressed. We don't play that system so difficult to see where he'd play but LWB to be honest. Good option for one of the 2 behind the striker too perhaps?

Yes Ollie Clarke (8) got away with lots, can't believe he didn't even get a yellow! As MMJ said Ogogo should have gone too so don't buy their bleating at all.

Allen was signed for a fee too & was one of Burton's best players so was quite a coup. Marosi also turned down a new deal with Donny to join us. There's no doubt Robins has been backed this year considering we're still losing money hand over fist. I think he'll be looking for 2 promises from...

Yep, did ok. I know they were incensed that not every single foul of ours was a booking after their earlier ones, but the fact is theirs were cynical hacks, ours were just your bog standard slightly late challenges etc. The "elbow" by Kelly (I think) is never a penalty in a million years, it's...

Super stuff! IF we can win both games in hand we'll go 1 point clear! :emoji_fingers_crossed:

I think, in our defence, it took a while to get to grips with the wind & the pitch, so many misplaced passes early on. Once in our groove though we've carved them open. Hopefully start the 2nd half as we finished the 1st!

As poor as we've been, as soon as we started playing our usual game we look dangerous & score. Shame it took 35mins! Got to kick on now.

Transfer Rumour Ryan Giles on Loan - Confirmed

I remember one away game that season when I think he forgot Maddison was on loan and named too many loan players in the squad!

Transfer Rumour Ryan Giles on Loan - Confirmed

'tis correct but he's recovered sooner than expected hence loaning Giles out again.

Transfer Rumour Ryan Giles on Loan - Confirmed

Definitely played LWB for Shrews so slightly odd... Had we not got McCallum back on loan I could see it but ? Very good prospect though & lightning quick so will be an asset, just depends where we play him.

    Transfer Rumour Sam McCallum gone

Well yeah, facts are never the Trust's strong point. Nice to see they got the sentiment right though finally!

Even Neil gets it! Most sensible thing I've ever heard him say!

I like him but seriously... We'd snap their hands off!

    Robins post match/mcallum sale

Wtaf!? What is wrong with people? Where has this totally absurd, rabid frothing come from!??

    Robins post match/mcallum sale

Quite. The "rival" bit tickled me too. Even IF we go up & IF they go down we'll almost certainly be competing at opposite ends of the table next season.

According to the Trust the missing home fans are all because they're boycotting rather than logistics or anything so no excuses for this one right?

    FA Cup 5th Round

I distinctly remember that awful away day at Charlton last game of Championship season in 07/08 when we did everything we could to get ourselves relegated but they went down instead & we all laughed at their expense... How times have changed!

Exactly, entirely different model, they're more similar to Peterborough; buy established but lesser known talent for cheap then sell on for top dollar. Not so much since Steve Walsh left though.

Difference is we develop a lot of our own young players, they've only very recently played their own younsters; Chilwell, Barnes & Choudhury.
