Watched last night, and he passes backwards way more than he should. His strength is going forward, yet he negates that by giving it back to the centre backs too often ( who were clearly Boro's weak points last night. Isidor too quick, plus they were ponderous playing out from the back).

Plus Grimes is cup tied, so he'll be nice and fresh.

What is encouraging for me regarding next season, is that we are currently missing Wright and Sheaf (both of whom may well be gone and will have raised us transfer funds). We ought to have some Vik money, EMC will be back, and we may well have lost MVE, but again £££s to come in from him...

That's how I see it too. Can't see our fans turning on the team if we lose those. If we then slip against QPR (who will have had a week's rest) then the grumbles will return. Hopefully it doesn't happen.

If you connect with the ball and follow through with your foot and hit the player, it can be deemed as a foul, although you are challenging for the ball. Not sure what the difference is regarding a foul using the head?

That said, if that had been elsewhere on the pitch, I'd have blown for a foul - albeit accidental. If he had tripped him, accidentally, it can still be a penalty.
