Match Thread Sunderland - Coventry City Match Thread - Tuesday 13th May

Nothing to be ashamed of. We gave them a bloody nose, and it was funny to hear Sky's love fest for Sunderland (assuming they were going through) having to be toned down. Credit to Luke O'Nien at the end for talking about our team and our fans. Can be a tawt on the pitch, but a decent bloke off it.

Some, but not many (definitely not Rudi) - reckon only 2 or 3, and we'll have enough of a base. plus cash from sales (including Vik) to be even stronger next season.

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

Carlton Morris is 29 - will want a 3 year contract (minimum) and has had a poor season in the Championship. I'd much sooner have Keiffer Moore of the two (even if he's older). I'd take Bundu, from Plymouth, over the pair of them.

Match Thread Sunderland - Coventry City Match Thread - Tuesday 13th May

It's fine, in terms of trying to control a game, but you do need couple of players who will take players on and commit defenders, plus the obvious goalscorer to ensure the possession is capitalised upon. First half v Sunderland, I said really early on that we weren't looking like scoring. At...

    Noise , Noise , Noise

In Block 15, and it was loud in the ground - the very quiet bit is a joke, Only dropped after their second, which was right at the end of the game, and the crowd still stayed supportive.

Match Thread Coventry v Sunderland Championship Playoff 1st Leg Friday 9th May

I hope they do try and sit on their lead. First goal on Tuesday likely to be key imo. Unless Simms was carrying a knock, I was a bit surprised he didn't come on for BTA. Still in it, and far from Bristol City's situation.

    Points Poll

Tell Bristol City fans that ! You're right, though - one bit of indiscipline can cause a huge swing in fortune. I wonder if Wilder will rest Hamer and co fairly early on in the second leg.

    Average attendances home and away

To be fair, I think you could replace the 'many' with 'some'. I think we sold out the majority.

    Sunderland away tickets

Not exact figures re: number of members, but I think we have about 80+. Through sponsorship, we get 30 tickets (nowhere near as many tickets as ST holders that we have), so being a member of the club does NOT guarantee you an away ticket, by any stretch.

    Sunderland away tickets

If a supporters club gets 30 tickets through sponsoring players (expensive!) then tickets will go to those who travel most (likely to have most points). If there is a game where there is less demand, then there is a possibility that a ticket might go to someone within the supporters group with...

Who gets the other 50%? Also, we'll get TV money, won't we?

    Goal of the season

Paterson's technique/context outdoes BTA for me, though I can see the argument for both.

Match Thread Coventry v Sunderland Championship Playoff 1st Leg Friday 9th May

A win in the first game (preferably by at least 2 goals) Let's face it though, anything can happen. Our last few home games / and the atmospheres give me hope that we will (at least) turn up for the occasion. Sunderland have some good players, but their team seems in a state of torpor (always...
