I mean, they surely see comments on the club/their own instagram and twitter posts which are almost guaranteed to include low effort abuse. This place is sunshine and rainbows in comparison.
Not what I was saying at all, I’m saying Robins will have a plan for him and since MVE looks like he’ll be our first choice at RWB that plan surely involves plenty of playing time in attacking midfield.
I struggle to believe Robins has sanctioned an almost £2m signing on a player who doesn’t fit our system and will be “shoehorned” into either attacking midfield or a wingback. He’s clearly going to compete to start in one of those spots.
Hamer’s liability was always his brain, not his feet. You could see he was a level above from the minute he joined the club but had to improve his discipline and decision making.
Eccles and Sheaf aren’t the same.
At the end of the day it was the club’s decision, he was under contract for another year and we could’ve rejected any bids.
You can’t expect him to sign an extension on half the wages he would get in the premier league with no guarantee he could leave at the end of the year.
So the club had a...
Won’t be activating those clauses if he plays like this will he though.
But even for the £3.5m initial he’s been very poor. I suppose we’ve paid for his potential.
To add to this, you say 200k is a fair wage but when the premier league brings in £5bn a year you would think referees should see a vaguely significant portion of that money.
After all, on any given weekend there’s only 80 officials (+ VAR) officiating games.
I’ve probably watched too many...
Agreed at grassroots. But I think you want to increase it across the board, so it becomes an attractive career option.
Even L1/2 standard refs should be getting 50/60k+ IMO. It’s a thankless task to be berated for 90 mins by 5, 10, 20,000+ people.
