It really isn’t irrelevant whether or not the best midfielder in the league was playing alongside him. You could’ve put a sack of potatoes in there with Hamer last year and he’d have made it work.

Last year we had Hamer. How many of those 10 games did he play? An Eccles-Kelly midfield should terrify any sane fan.

Not nonsense at all. The quality was heavily lacking, Luton finished 3rd comfortably, we got 5th with 70 points which usually wouldn’t even get you in the playoffs. This season comparatively is very strong and we won’t get there with Allen and co starting games.

Last year was a freak season, probably one of the easiest ever to get playoffs in. I also wouldn’t really say he was key, he largely started when others were out injured.

Allen is another one who shouldn't be anywhere near the XI if we're serious about top 6.

He came off at 88', and was out on his feet for the last 20 mins. You can hardly get credit for playing 90 if you're only effective for 70.

Was really disappointed with Thomas yesterday - at fault for all 3 I thought. Terrible backpass and backed off his man for the other two. Not sure how he ended up on the left for the first goal though. Kitching - Fadz - Lati is probably the move next time out.
