If City dont sell him now, then of fucking course other clubs will contact him. The club know that, so they'll offer a new contract, he will reject it, and we will sell at the end of the season. That suits all parties. We get a decent fee, Vik gets a fat pay rise and the choice of whoever...

There's plenty of players turning down Everton's advances. I'm sure Vik's agent will of been approached by other clubs representatives, offering a move at the end of the season or at the end of his contract. Why move now to a club that looks odds on to get relegated? When you can have...

Yep, that's exactly what happened at Sheffield United, they accepted Evertons offer of c22 million for Illiman Ndiaye, and off he wen..... oh, hang on ....

We signed Kevin Drinkell from Glasgow Rangers for £800k But yes it was a lot of money for a player who's legs had gone. But if we'd only of supported him more he might of been the new Pele' 😉

He's a good player, but he won't help their striker problem. I'd still expect them to add more firepower. Hopefully they've moved on from Vik now they've seen our valuation.

Well they recently had a bid of £22 million accepted by Sheff utd for Illman Ndiaye, only for Ndiaye to turn them down. And they just sold a player to Newcastle for £40 million plus ad ons. So they've got the money, what they havnt got is time. If they can't match our valuation, and they dont...

Love it if Vik turns Everton down. They are shit after all and pretty much guaranteed to get relegated. If he waits till his contract expires he'd negotiate much better wages as a free signing.

You've just said it yourself, a good player AND an athletes, Allen is not a good player. Yes he runs around a lot and covers a lot of ground, but so does a blind dog running after a tennis ball.

And yet ironically, had he not got injured, he could be at a top 6 club right now.

I'd add Fadz and maybe Bidwell who looks solid enough defensively to your 4 which gives us 6. And potentially Mcnally and Doyle may prove to be good enough. But that still leaves us short. We are still in need of a keeper, RWB, AM and another striker.

And it is. I said that in response to your post (post #32) After YOU bought his strike rate up. Now can we accept that we need a better player and all move along.

    Transfer Shouts

Good shout, a big physical unit that can play a bit as well if I remember correctly.

A reasonable post. However I'd suggest we need someone who can do the hard yards, AND impact a game more.

No, Grendel brought goals up in post #32 I simply replied to that post. I hadn't mentioned goals at all except in response to #32 I measure a player on his impact on the game and overall contribution. As I've said on here, I can't fault Allen for his work rate, he's simply not good enough...
