ACL and the City Council announcement

Think it was, little point to it otherwise really.

ACL and the City Council announcement

Lots of people would lose their jobs and the council would lose another £14million to whatever is already invested in the stadium. Eggs and baskets spring to mind.

ACL and the City Council announcement

I don't think that it affects the ownership issue in the slightest really, Sisu still have to come up with the £6million or so to buy out the Higgs share before the option runs out. The option must be pretty much due to expire by now. Think that after that Higgs could sell it to whoever they...

Not saying that all police are dodgy, but enough cases of wrongdoing over the years in all areas to not think of them all as Dixon of Dock Green either. Thatchers Thugs and Stormtroopers in the 80's, and far more protected by the media than attacked that's for sure.

Suppose it's a good investment opportunity and they know what they're doing. Hopefully safer than an Icelandic Bank.

ACL and the City Council announcement

It's a loan made because ACL couldn't afford to pay Yorkshire Bank, hardly a loan based on sound business decisions. Of course a £113 million asset shouldn't be handed over for free. Though a very small fraction of that alleged value was paid by either the council/ACL to build it. An asset is...

ACL and the City Council announcement

It seems that those that are celebrating the £14million that the council has put into ACL are the same ones who were worried that the rent not being paid by CCFC was impoverishing the poor council tax payers of Coventry.

    Council announcement today?

Make it a glass roof and they could market it as a new Eden Project. Though Eden and Coventry not two words that would normally associate with each other.

Not one to give support to any Tory, but the wholw Plebgate thing was pretty much a fabrication by the police. The "concerned" member of public who reported the incident(not on any cameras obviously), was an off-duty police officer who wasn't there! Think it's far more Daily Mail to accept...
