Let's not forget that he had more goals than Vik at the start of the season and would have had quite a few more if Vik had squared the ball a bit more often. He used to get a few with his head too but we can't seem to cross the ball anymore

Play two up and get over-run (blame Godden etc) or Howley etc in midfield and create little for Vik, who always has 2 or 3 on him kicking lumps out of him. Since when has acute appendicitis been an injury? Can happen to anyone. The foot aside his injuries have been the sort that anyone gets. I doubt there's a manager in the Championship or in L1 who would take Walker over Godden.

Godden will be fine with a full pre-season in his legs. I don't see him going

Cal will do well just to play again at this level now. Good luck to the lad but I think we've probably seen the best of him. I really hope I'm wrong.

I say he probably needs 8-10 starts after missing that much. Don't underestimate injury and lost fitness, think about how long preseason is.
