Sheffield Wed, Birmingham and Forest ...

4 points would likely be just fine, any more would be excellent.

    Hilßner debut?

He's there to get fit, that's the whole point.

    Where will we finish?

Agree with this but also, on the flip side, the standard throughout the league has taken a real hit which could have helped us in staying competitive.

    Tonight’s games

Of course but given we're shortly playing the teams around us it's interesting to see how they're going, strengths/weaknesses etc. So when there's the inevitable meltdown on here if we play 1 up front against Derby to try & ensure we don't concede first you can give it some sensible context &...

    Tonight’s games

Derby win but not a disaster for us at all. Neither side particularly impressive, once Derby went in front they stuck all 11 behind the ball & QPR never truly looked like scoring although they should have had a pen when Kazim-Richards hand balled at a corner. Important we don't concede first...

    Players out of contract

I posted our xG & xGA of 2 up top vs 1 up top a while back & in short yes, our xG improves a little with 2 up but also our xGA goes up significantly.

    Tonight’s games

Ref just missed stonewall pen for QPR

    Tonight’s games

Bit against the run of play imo but interesting to see what happens now as defensively they've generally been pretty decent under Rooney.

    Hilßner debut?

Playing as a deeper CM & doing well by all accounts. Just got one of their players sent off for lashing out at him.

    Didn’t Dion score.....

He doesn't understand that for some reason or is choosing to wilfully ignore it rather than admit his mistake.

    Didn’t Dion score.....

Well, I knew the offside law & knew Dublin's goal in no way breaks it as he has to be in an offside position when the ball is played by a teammate, thanks for proving it. Thank god you don't referee the games my team plays!

    Didn’t Dion score.....

You're trying yourself in knots here... For the "purposes of offside" being the key. There's no offside decision to be made as he's miles on when the ball is played. The law change is to stop the Ebanks-Blake scenario as linked to earlier where he would have been offside when the initial shot...

    Hickman

I'm not sure there's many jobs you could go on video publicly slagging off your employer & their customers & not be sacked immediately. Instead he was kept on until his contract expired. Difficult to feel sorry for him there. Not injured, just not fancied despite them struggling. Only played 4...

    Didn’t Dion score.....

Right... But what law would Dion be circumventing? It's literally impossible to disallow that goal, even under today's laws, I'm not sure why you're so convinced otherwise?

    Didn’t Dion score.....

"Circumvent the law" bit is specific to circumventing the pass back law so doesn't apply. I'm 100% certain that no referee would judge it as "showing a lack of respect for the game" either, that's usually something like disrespecting the sport by urinating on the pitch etc. It can be used if...

    Didn’t Dion score.....

I understand that. Which law NOW would see it disallowed? Can you link me to it?
  18. Frostie

    Didn’t Dion score.....

You'll have to show me which law that is, from what I can see he never commited any offence.

Would they still want Baka as well?

    Didn’t Dion score.....

Yes, we know why the Man City one stood, I was arguing it with people on Twitter at the time. It's a daft law but by the law the correct decision was made. I'm just confused as to why you think Dublin's would now be disallowed?
