The great Spain team that won the World Cup in 2010 scored 8 goals in 7 games and won all their knock-out games 1-0. Even the France side that won the last World Cup were being criticised back home for playing boring stuff. It's just what works at these tournaments.

    Fixture Predictions

If we're home first game then I expect us to be on TV on the Friday, if we're away then we'll probably be on the Friday after.

You'll struggle to find many teams that have won international tournaments by playing pretty football throughout. International football is always more conservative and cautious, especially when so much if on the line.

They’re bang average these days, all their best players from 2018 are either old or have retired. Would back us to beat them comfortably if we weren’t playing them first, bit annoying how the schedule has worked out, wish we had the Czechs first up.

Got some insider info that's just been passed onto me because I'm very important and know lots of important people. Can't share my source for confidentiality reasons of course but this is what I've been told: We're going to be signing multiple players between now and the start of the season...

This is a bit like when Cov fans moan because we put in an uninspiring performance against someone like Swindon in pre-season. I doubt any more than 5 of that lot are going to start against Croatia. It’s unfortunate because of how the European finals have worked out but that was a pretty...

He was literally given the choice to stick with the squad or go home. If he didn’t want to be there tonight he wouldn’t be.

It’s so we can maintain the same system without changing personal. Lingard is playing where Mount/Foden will play in the actual team. Any other bench player doesn’t play the same role.

We played for an hour with 10 men against Denmark and started with the game with 6/11 of our probable strongest line-up. Yeah we lost to Croatia at the World Cup but they’re a worse side now than they are today, and we’ve beaten them at Wembley since then. As for the Czech’s, they’re not a bad...

Playing that attacking against a decent side would be suicide, especially if Maguire isn't fit and we've got one of Coady or Mings starting.

Thing Southgate is going to try Alexander-Arnold at CM.

Will most likely be Saka I'd say. As mad as it is I think it'll be 4 right backs. If Maguire is injured we'll most likely play 5 at the back, so Walker will be playing RCB.

    Chuks Aneke

Would be a weird one, the guy can barely play 60 minutes, let alone 90. Look at how many games he either came on or off at half time in last season.
