To be fair to Cal, he will be 26 this summer. Any contract he signs with anyone is likely to be a 3-4 year deal, which takes him to 29/30. If his ambition is to play in the premier league then getting this move wrong likely kills that dream.

I think we have to be looking at a wide player surely? Otherwise we’re an injury away from starting Palmer out wide every week which isn’t his natural position.

Sounds like coming back to England is the big draw. I’m sure other championship clubs will be keeping tabs on him, will probably be in the league one way or another next year. I’d be interested to see him tried at left back.
