LAtest lagal action (that can't be halted)

Dear Spanner I forget what was said when the EC complaint came to light, but i think the answer was that it is the government's stated intention to enshrine all EU Law into UK Statute, so that may affect things. But given that they have already kicked it into touch on the point of it not being...

LAtest lagal action (that can't be halted)

That would be my interpretation - that the agreement was only extant during a period in which the two parties were bound by a contract (which doesn't exist, as we know!)

LAtest lagal action (that can't be halted)

Funny that ... But going forward from THIS point, i think any new negotiations would have to include that agreement again, as the previous agreement is now worthless.

    Six fields v St Andrews.

Re: your point 2, i don't think it's a case of SISU taking new legal action. I THINK it becomes a criminal action against the Council by the UK courts (upon instruction by the European Commission). BUT you're right that it may also allow SISU to go after whoever they see as having caused a loss...

LAtest lagal action (that can't be halted)

Well it may, although the legal agreement that SISU signed stated that they would not take direct legal action against W*sps. If they adhered to that going forward, then W*sps might be happy, and SISU would be in breach of any tenancy contract if they issued a civil claim against them.

LAtest lagal action (that can't be halted)

As i understand it, the EC are currently undertaking a preliminary investigation of the facts to determine if they believe there is a case to answer. In a post last week, i quoted some expert in EU process who said that the current Commissioner for Competition was going after the global...

I agree entirely WH, but Les's balanced views only ever seem to attract an almighty collective trolling, so he may prefer to keep his head below the parapet.

    Six fields v St Andrews.

Is this forum the only place where you can find a balanced viewpoint, or any condemnation of Wasps or CCC? How come BBC CW only EVER promote the anti-SISU mantra espoused by the "Trust", JHWay and the like? This morning, "Some groups are calling from a boycott of the groundshare". WHO...

    Next Seasons Confirmed Squad/Transfer Rumours

Wait for a season then - they'll be back down unless they invest! But in all likelihood they would sign him then loan him out to a champ club.

    St Andrews confirmed!

No, we'd have been liquidated and expelled from the league - Evans had no money to invest or even keep the ship steady.

    Ground sharing

I think we will know within the next 12 months whether the EC State Aid case is to be pursued. If it *isn't*, maybe W*sps will feel inclined to come back to the negotiating table without the conditions that SISU were unable to accept (and rightly so).

    Killing Eve Season 2

Watched the first two last night. Trying to decide whether i am more in love with Villanelle or with Sophie Ellis-Bextor who i saw at the Symphony Hall last night and brought the house down - pitch perfect and beautiful!

Rod Liddle article in Sunday Times today

Has Giblet retweeted this one, like he did with the one by Conn-artist? I told him i considered his retweet a challenge to the balance he is supposed to follow as a BBC reporter. His mum and dad (aka John Stretton and James Alexander) came rushing to his aid, claiming that i, too, am biased...

    St Andrews confirmed!

60M is certainly the current valuation of the Ricoh, according to W*sps most recent accounts/work of fiction!

Call to Arms first game of the season.

I haven't been an ST holder, as i have too many family commitments to justify the outlay, but i WILL be going to St Andrews as many times as i can to support MR and the team i have followed for over 30 years. As it happens, it will probably be easier for me to get to than the Ricoh, and i'm...

    Some Boddy Is Furious

I don't know if you are stating the obvious, but just in case it's a genuine question, BBC employees are required to express balance when reporting on news items, not take sides. While Gilbert has been keen to stress that he isn't expressing "an opinion" in recent arguments with you and me, this...

    Some Boddy Is Furious

I don't think it specifies that it will be next season. Just that they will not undertake to make a permanent home outside the Coventry area.
