Match Thread Bradford City vs. Coventry City Match Thread - Tuesday 23rd Oct

Hope I’m not tempting fate but since Junior Brown came back into the team and found his form and fitness our defence has become more resolute and solid, that’s taking nothing away from Brandon Mason he’s one for the future but at this stage Browns experience is essential

Match Thread Bradford City vs. Coventry City Match Thread - Tuesday 23rd Oct

Need Robins to get amongst them now, Bradford will have to go for it so should be vulnerable at the back, need to be clever with substitutions. Time for JJ. Is he a sub ?

To quote a football cliche we need to manage the game now 2-0 up early is one of those dangerous scores but nice position to be in

On paper we couldn’t have a better away match to follow Saturday and the current run we are on but games aren’t won on paper. Four of our league defeats have been against teams in the bottom half of the division and as impressive we currently are I think we are capable of what I now call Yeovil...

FA Cup Draw tonight - who do you want ?

Good draw, just up the road, decent away support have to get certain percentage of tickets I believe, arguably being the most attractive tie of the round if you take in league positions West Midland derby etc, so possibly good candidate for TV, somehow doubt that though.

Could they though be thinking a newly promoted championship club is a better saleable item, or am I in la la land ?

Do you think our owner wants championship football with its extra costs, gates would bi up but not massively and of course that depends on results. I remember Tim Fishers quote saying we can’t afford championship football.

Hopefully they will lean on our Ricoh owners to strike a deal. Think sisu will be banking on that too.

Too many dodgy fans for my liking

Won’t come to that if Ricoh owners refuse to negotiate the football club will cease to exist, certainly as EFL members

Amazing figures and I assume those who missed out through play off etc had wage similar bills, how do ther do it and stay viable ? Also will our owners want championship football based on finances like those an question for our chairman to answer

Yes they, season ticket holders get a bloody good deal, should pay more imo, talking adults not kids.

Player of the season so far?

You have this knack of twisting words to suit, where have I said Michael Doyle is our BEST player he is not our best, but he has played every league game pretty well every minute too, think the nearest other is Bayliss, which is why I say as the OP asked he’s our player of the season so far...

I would think an increase would cover any extra legal bills

Don’t think fans are encouraging Wasps to put the rent up but other than cast is adrift what alternatives are there and money doesn’t have to come from the playing budget at all a pound levy per ticket is £230000 a year for every 10000 spectators. Personally I would put season ticket prices up...

    Chemistry in the team

Both last season and this our lapses in form coincided with Davies not playing, he’s rock solid at the back with either Willis or Hyam next to him, dangerous for the opposition at corners and set pieces too. So close to two goals Saturday.

When you say the Council and I quote “have it in for the club” exactly who on the council do you mean ?

A Premier 2 possibility is being banded about at the moment, by Leeds I think. Don’t rule it out TV football is changing all the time, whether it would increase TV revenue I don’t know
