Okay lets say that the reason that the first garage roof business was going bust (and I'm not suggesting ACL was) because the second garage roof business hadn't been paying their rent on the premises that the first owned and leased to them. Isn't that a bit more like what's happening here?

We're they making more of a loss because CCFC weren't paying their agreed rent?

The council are doubtless making more from loaning ACL the money than they would have got from having it sitting in the bank.

Someone posted on here saying that Sir Higgs had put a clause in the sale of HR so that had the Ricoh not been built we could have bought the stadium back for the same as we got for it. He didn't want us to be homeless I guess, so we might have been a bit more in debt having bought HR back but...

I was thinking more of things like the Davis cup and concerts/exhibitions, rather than anything football related/reliant. Yes there would be a dent in the matchday F&B revenues but I thought they only amounted to £100k or so per year.

Unless there has been a turn up in revenues for ACL, we know they're certainly paying less in mortgage/loan payments now.

It has to meet certain standards to qualify for the £500,000 grant that no one knows the location of at the moment. I think that's why the centre was built to meet those standards.

I also remember going round the exhibition they had before the AH Centre opened and it had a really funky fake grass solution. This had tiny little rubber balls in the "grass" and you could do sliding tackles without getting grass burns. This I think needed a machine to clean and redistribute...
