Agreed, And Kitching and Thomas are forming a very capable defensive partnership.

I'd say MR isn't negative, I'd say he picks horses for course's, he certainly wasn't negative against Birmingham or Southampton, but today he probably thought we'd struggle to get much of the ball, and with Wright rumoured to have a knock, and O'hare and Palmer not 100% fit yet, and...

He's been sick the last couple of days, and only trained yesterday, so I thought he did OK under the circumstances.

Great tactics by MR as it turns out, could of even snatched it if Palmer hadn't passed his shot straight at the keeper. Defence is looking way more solid than it did a few weeks ago, and we look dangerous on the break. No one less than a 8/10 today for me, the work rate was fantastic.

Tbf a draw would be a good result away to Leeds. And with Wright having a knock, and O'hare not ready for 2 games in a week, and Palmer not fit enough to start, you can understand MR deciding to keep things tight. If we can hold on for a point I'd be quite happy.

Bit of a strange starting line up, I just hope MR is looking to keep things at 0-0 going into the last 20 minutes and then make the changes to win it.

    Fábio Tavares

And just like Ellis Simms, he's only ever scored in 1 game for us. Which means at it stands, he's been far better value for money! Just saying 😉

    Transfer Rumour Haji Wright

He's certainly improving, but there's still a long way to go before he becomes a very good player.

We could of brought Simms off for Eccles or Palmer, I thought he was totally ineffective tonight. But on a plus point I thought Wright is continuing to improve and took his goal well.

Agree with most of that, but thought Simms looked poor. Good to see Wright get on the score sheet, after giving him some stick on here I have to say he's improved since the last international break.

There's always an argument for not changing a winning team, but that's a brave set up considering Southampton are a far far better team than Brum, and are in good form. I'd of started Eccles and dropped Simms to the bench, but at least it gives Simms and Wright a chance to show what they can...

Eccles for Simms. Well need the extra defensive midfielder against Saints. if we play Sakamoto, Allen and O'hare. And Simms was poor against Brum.

    Transfer targets

That might hit the nail on the head, as in Doug wants to see him put a string of performances together over 90 minutes before commiting to another high earner on £20+ grand a week. He may of had his fingers burnt with Wright and Simms and won't want to get burnt again if O'hare turns out to be...

O'Hare is a Burden on the Team

Just imagine the total melt down on here if he hadn't scored!
