    Neil Warnock

Amazing, that's nearly 20 clubs he's managed in over 40 years! And he's been a pensioner for the last 10 years. What a career he's having.

Match Thread Coventry City - Sheffield Wednesday [FA] Match Thread - Tuesday 6th Feb

Wednesday have a massive relegation match against Brum on Friday, so I'd expect them to rest plenty of their first team on Tuesday. I think we can afford to start Desilva at LB, Kelly or Lats in midfield and dare I say it Tavares may well get a run out.

Tbf, Wright has looked decent since being moved out to the left wing, but he's not good enough for a CF. Godden is well past his prime, and is struggling to impact games in the formation that MR wants to play. And Simms looks way out of his depth.

I got slaughtered on here for saying Simms is a bag of wank and Wright isn't good enough. But for me this game absolutely sums it up perfectly.

Agreed, but apparently some on here think ge should start ahead of Godden. I know, funking insane

So Sakamoto starts then. Suprise suprise. I may not know a lot, but clearly I know a lot more than you!

Who said he's fatigued? Is that literally just based on one random opinion of how he played on Tuesday?

We'd only miss O'hare, the others are easily replaced. We had a far bigger clear out last season.

He's played 1 game since Jan 13th. Are you seriously suggesting that training is making him unfit for matches???

    Reflections on the January Window

Not selling O'hare makes it a good window. Bringing Torp in was a timely addition what with Sheaf getting an injury, but I can't help thinking that not bringing a striker in, and signing a winger who's no use till next season is leaving us too short to sustain a playoff challenge. We'll have...

Saka had a rest against sheffield Wednesday, he's only played 1 game in a fortnight, how much more of a rest does he need?

    Simms

That's the problem though. Simms contributes as much as a 32 year old slow player who's legs have gone and isn't physical enough to play as the main striker. (MG has been a fantastic player for us in the past, but at 32 his career is now on the decline) The argument isn't which one should...

    Simms

You have to earn the right to get a start, and Simms hasn't done nearly enough to earn that. Fair play to him for getting on the score sheet last night, but an unmarked tap in to an empty net from a yard out doesn't mean he's Pele reincarnated, and certainly doesn't justify his...

Match Thread Coventry City - Bristol City FC Match Thread - Tuesday 30th Jan

I don't mind what he does to celebrate. His goals have been few and far between, so if that goal gives him a boost and he kicks on then great. He's had some proper stick, and it's been deserved imo, but if he wants to do that when he does score I'm sure we can take it. Let's hope we see it...

How the fuck did he squeeze that in, there looked no way through when he brought the ball down! What a player !!!

Because even with his legs gone, and in a wheelchair he's more of a threat than Simms.

    Debuts

Mick Harford, had a great debut and scored a good goal. Never played again for us after that.
