    tim speaks.....bullshit as usual

Yeah right, so the council had no right to buy the mortgage of one of the businesses that the council is a 50% shareholder in? Are you serious?

    Football stadia Mornington Crescent anyone?

So playing with the Fishers Mind variation the obvious first move would be Walsall - Bescott.

    Football stadia Mornington Crescent anyone?

For those people who are fans of Mornington Crescent on I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue I was thinking of starting a game on here. The 'rules' and game play are described quite well on Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mornington_Crescent_%28game%29 I propose to substitute station names with...

    Advanced talks with Walsall

Ooh what a good idea, someone should email Walsall and ask for a quote. Needs to be on the side where it would get seen by the BBC cameras so that it can get maximum exposure.

    Advanced talks with Walsall

I can see what you mean and I agree I just wish it hadn't got to this stage.

Ideas thread to piss off sisu....

I wonder how many Midlands bands we could get to do concerts every other Saturday at the Ricoh to support our Not One Penny More campaign. I'd love to see Slade play there for example (possibly showing my age here).

    'Highfield Two'

So are you saying that the Council wouldn't ever sell or have sold their share of ACL to our club* if they had put a bid in? I think councillor Maton didn't agree that the freehold should be sold, but ACL isn't the freehold and as I said, I'm sure that a new lease could be arranged with our...

But the leasehold was for sale it's just that SISU screwed it up. Commercial property is normally leased I'm told not owned by the tenant, the shop where I work is leased.

    'Highfield Two'

So how many tenants automatically get part of the property they're renting just because they pay (or not in this case) their rent?

What will Appleton's findings reveal ?

Maybe that he has paid off his mortgage and has a very long five star first class holiday booked thanks to the fees he's earned?

    'Highfield Two'

They've always had the option to purchase the charity share, it's just that after starting to talk to the charity they walked away from the negotiations not the charity(1). And who's to say that the council wouldn't give us another long lease for the stadium complex when the ACL lease runs out...

Thank you! (oh and welcome :welcome:)

    'Highfield Two'

They had the chance to buy at least the charity stake in ACL and walked away after agreeing a heads of terms. They could have started negotiations from the start of their ownership and then could have bought the Council stake later on. But they didn't and started us on the road to destruction...
