ACL make a bid for CCFC Ltd

Fine, but that can be achieved without this two stage sale of the club - so throwing their hat into the ring is just muddying the waters as I see it. Far better that PH4 or another purchase the club via the administrator and then negotiate directly with ACL/Higgs re the purchase of the Arena or...

ACL to allow CCFC Ltd to play for free!

Since when did they 'allow' them to get away with it? They still received more via the escrow account than they were proposing to receive under the new deal that was/wasn't agreed. They then made moves to force the club into administration. I welcome this move by ACL, it is a sensible one...

ACL make a bid for CCFC Ltd

So why are you and others using the 'one entity' argument, when it is clear to everyone that this isn't their intention and that they would simply sell the club on? Here's an idea, let's bypass that process completely and just sell directly to PH4 or one of the other consortiums? ACL are...

ACL make a bid for CCFC Ltd

Considering what we know about the other interested parties, it beggars belief that people seem genuinely excited by the prospect of ACL owning the football club. The only consolation is that they haven't a hope in hell of being selected as preferred bidders. There is a contradiction here I...

Just For Fun: Your Preferential New Owners and Why

I'd like more people to vote for SISU just so I can see Valiant have a meltdown. I'm easily pleased me.

    No Byng Bid

That did occur to me i.e. that the outcome is very much a forgone conclusion so instead of going through the motions they have approached SISU direct. I guess that's probably just wishful thinking on my part and doesn't explain why he told the CT that a bid had been submitted. We'll see.

By all means do, but it doesn't escape the fact the data is wrong :p It's academic though, as gates would be terrible in such a scenario and the chances of competing at the right end of the table in those circumstances are pretty much nil.

How many Sisu with ccfc playing at Ricoh ?

Come on now, you're not really going to start slinging mud at those who plan to watch the team if they play at the Ricoh?

I know, I was just making the point that at just under 6K it wouldn't be bottom 7.

Without wishing to disagree with your general point, Shrewsbury had the 11th highest league average last season, and that was 5736. It would have to be around 4000 to be in the bottom seven - although that is certainly feasible.

If we get our way and the club ends up in the hands of PH4 or some other consortium, there's a good chance we'll be deducted 15 points anyway. Can't see SISU agreeing to a CVA. The other outcome and we end up playing outside Coventry in front of next to nobody. Either way, next season is...

But only if SISU are prepared to sell. They might, and they might let it go on the cheap, but I suspect not going by their track record. Also, any buyer would have to weigh up the logic of negotiating a multi-million pound deal when they could wait for liquidation, buy it all on the cheap and...

So where would we be better off

I think it is perfectly clear the point Grendel is trying to make, and whether you agree with him or not, he is right when he says that it isn't for people who have never attended matches (for whatever reason) to make out that they have signed up to a principled position of non-attendance (when...

I will give them the benefit of the doubt for one season on the basis that the move is temporary - but then it has to be temporary, there is no other option. Many teams have moved outside of their conurbation in recent years - Brighton, Bristol Rovers, Rotherham for example; and other clubs...
