Yeah he did. Probably covered a lot of ground in that hour. 45 minutes tonight (or 30 minutes as is more likely) would be a good way to incrementally increase his playing time and minimise chance of injury.

But by the same token, by playing lots of matches in very quick succession creates a much bigger load on the body and risk of injury. E.g. the best way to get match fit is to do what Robins is doing, if that's even his plan. He might not even come on now though 😂

Not match fit? Not played enough to do a Saturday game and then a midweek one? Still feeling the effects of the Bristol game? Lots of reasons. I'm hoping it's because Robins has seen what he's capable of so wants him to come on at the business end of the game. Either that or he's seen...

I imagine Robins plan is to utilise him in the second half against tired legs? Seemed to tire after 50 mins at the weekend, as good as he was

Same starting line-up as Saturday and I think we will win. I'll be upset if we don't win this one.

Video Mark Robins and Ben Sheaf reflect on Coventry City's defeat to Bristol City 🎙

I didn't see the Norwich game as I was working, but I have been a full on bedwetter this season. I've thought we've looked awful, pedestrian, boring - even not that great when we've won. The first half yesterday was the first glimmer of hope that I've seen (probably would have been the second...

    Set pieces

Baffles me that Eccles is taking a load of them. I'm not knocking him, but that's hardly playing to his strengths. I'm convinced Sheaf would be a better candidate.

The fact we didn't get those shots on target points to the fact the finishing was the issue really doesn't it? Also, I agree with your sentiment that we weren't as good after their injury and formation change - I'm just pointing out that we had further chances to score even after that.

Even after the injury and their formation change we had chances we didn't take. I don't think we need to gel, I think we are a few players returning and a few players needed to sign away from being a top ten team.

Wilson 5 - a few dodgy moments today. MVE 6 - sometimes is more conservative than he needs to be and should be running at his man rather than passing backwards. Thomas 5 - Lots of passing back to the opposition today. A really good footballer, not sure about defender yet. McFadz 5 - Not his...

    Hopefully he's a 20 goal a season centre mid

One thing we desperately need to do is get Eccles off set pieces.

Bristol managing things very well unfortunately and forcing us into this.

A really strange mixture of good and poor. Sometimes he is too relaxed and gives himself too much time. Other times he hurriedly passes forward when he doesn't need to. He looks like a midfielder who's ended up playing centre back.

I didn't think I would say this but I think McFadz has finally reached his expiry date

More likely that Bristol will stick a larger goal frame in for us.

The annoying thing is some of the crosses have actually been decent, but Simms and Godden have been asleep or in a different post code.
