Had a great season, think he's just won their POTY? Wouldn't be at all surprised to see him get a Championship move but not sure if he's a great fit for us. Sound defensively but not convinced about him on the ball & would prefer a left footer as well tbh.
Not sure there's much truth to the "dodgy at this level" rhetoric imo. It may not have always been perfect but I think Robins has always done a decent job in the Championship considering what he inherited.
Barnsley were rock bottom & looked miles off the pace when he took over but he kept them...
Scandalous that was. It's one thing I really hate about US Sports, how they have little respect for traditions with the franchise model & they just up & leave communities willy nilly.
I'm not a massive Southgate fan but he's on a bit of a hiding to nothing as we're just so unbalanced with the talent pool.
The attacking options are excellent, almost too good tbf as you'll end up shoehorning players into roles that don't suit. Meanwhile we are weak at the back, even moreso if...
All the Playoff games have been a really good watch. First leg of Barnsley v Swansea wasn't exactly pretty but still plenty of intrigue in it.
Goes to show what happens when you don't have tripe like VAR to spoil the big occasions.
Because he's not actually very good (which I know sounds mental given his record this season).
Nearly all of his goals are headers or first time finishes.
A Midfield of Kelly, James, Hamer, Sheaf & Walsh would be decent at Championship level for a team of our standing.
Would also enable Eccles to go & have a full season on loan at a decent, footballing League One side.
