For a start, ignoring all footballing ability, Eccles has a great engine and isn’t dead on his feet after one half of a game. Other than his shooting, he’s better in basically every aspect of the game than Shipley. I think his progression this season suggests that he could get better too.

Well for me, regardless of the way he looks / speaks, he seems like a nice lad, dedicated to his craft and has been a good player for us. If I cared how players spoke I’d have a team full of Joel Latibeaudieres, who seems lovely and well spoken.

Plenty more to come from him. I think he’s just getting eased in and given a bit of time, next season will be the one to judge him on.

Yeah I’ve been pretty critical of him on occasions, but other than the mad sequence of passing in front of the penalty area just after he came on he was good! Some important headers, blocks and clearances.

Bobert is a very good defender. Enjoys his football too. Lati actually decent at left CB when he came on, other than one daft moment. MVE defended well and Da Silva not too bad either other than consistently hoofing it down the line.
