    The low down on ARVO

Not sure where the information in the blog takes us or how it can used in any effective way. It doesn't really make the details of ARVO any clearer From what I can see ARVO are not owned by NEPSSI. ARVO are in partnership with others to form NEPSSI to carry out investment activity. It doesn't...

    Alternative to a New Stadium

I think there is a second area too So we are saying that because they own a stadium they will suddenly have the necessary skills and finance to manage and exploit exactly the same types of income stream? We are really only discussing the where because where ever it is will need skilled...

    No this isn't a joke

Are the club prepared to pay the going rate for a proper retail outlet at the Ricoh? It seems to me that this sorry state of affairs reflects the cost cutting that has gone on. The trestle tables have been there for a while why is it being highlighted now? Cant help but wonder if this has to be...

    Alternative to a New Stadium

I agree with some of that .......... and what it is are further options that do not involve building a small stadium. There are alternatives

    Alternative to a New Stadium

yes the amount is key given Wasps have 250 years then they could offer anything from day lease to over 100 years in theory couldn't they? again there are all sorts of options

    Alternative to a New Stadium

They could yes but equally that might not be anything like the case - we don't know and unless someone asks from CCFC/SISU and means it we wont. Think the point of this is there are alternatives but the focus only is that we must have a new stadium

    Alternative to a New Stadium

Only thing I didn't factor in that other clubs may get is alternative uses for the pitch area. But most clubs that area is not used that much. Also depending on the rent agreement then there may well not be the 365 day costs of that area also

    Alternative to a New Stadium

So looking at the incomes they get now that every FL team gets Match tickets Match packages Hospitality packages Pitch side advertising Sponsorship - shirt, kit, player, corners etc Prog sales TV money FL prize money solidarity payments shop sales lottery? commission from commercial...

    Alternative to a New Stadium

Do they own the lease on the Leisure land? or is it still a freehold plot with CCC? I thought everyone agreed that Wasps want CCFC at the Ricoh. Why wont they do business if CCFC is prepared to commit to being there? There might be a rent adjustment certainly but if its a long term deal...

    Alternative to a New Stadium

what happens on the 365th day?

    Alternative to a New Stadium

As I understand it there is an area by the Ricoh known as the "Leisure land" Surely it is not beyond the wit of man to build a CCFC complex of shop, bars, restaurant and small event spaces or offices that would benefit the club. Build it there and the pub/restaurant could also benefit from the...

Why Are We So Shit At Home?

just watched the goal again several times ...... really not sure Martin falling is down to pitch as such...... probably didn't help to be fair, but his body position was all over the shop and he lost his balance more because of that. Not really sure why he wasn't closer to Dagnall to make a...

Coventry City FC hold stadium talks with Rugby Borough Council

So what is the latest spiel as to what size of plot we are apparently looking for and what will be on it ........... the skeleton details seem to change depending on who is being told or which way the wind is blowing? Even the 3 sites TF came up with before had greatly differing areas
  16. oldskyblue58

Why Are We So Shit At Home?

Take the point stupot and yes it has definitely been a factor but dont some of the other teams play the tippy tappy way too and win? Surely no one really sets up any visiting team to play on the way the pitch at the ricoh is at the moment - the other teams only play on it the once we are there...

Why Are We So Shit At Home?

The pitch is a factor in any game .............. and yet other teams seem to manage to win on the one at the Ricoh
  18. oldskyblue58

Why Are We So Shit At Home?

absolutely nothing to do with the players, coaches, managers, directors or owners  ............ everyone and everything is against them its not like any other team

Coventry City FC hold stadium talks with Rugby Borough Council

Are SISU running the club as such. Don't they in reality really just control the tap on the finance they provide. What usually happens is that investors or their agents bring in suitable executives to run the enterprise properly within an overall framework. Unfortunately that's the problem the...

Coventry City FC hold stadium talks with Rugby Borough Council

This bothers me too. The costs at the club seem to be being slashed but isn't the other side of that maximising the incomes we can have. That simply does not seem to be very effective at all. If the shop is a fair reflection of the overall marketing strategy then it is a shambles. As you say...
